Quick wedding tip!!

Many of my brides want their chair styling colours to match the colour of their bridesmaid dresses but this can be a real challenge, as you are using different fabrics which changes the colour - for example a colour on a light fabric will look different if the colour is on a heavier fabric.

My advice, have the drape or sash in a base colour like white / ivory or a subtler colour of your main colour and then accessorise using ribbon / wedding foliage / broaches to compliment your wedding colours and theme to bring it altogether.

I've had lots of enquiries for 2023, 2024 and 2025 weddings over the past couple of weeks but my wedding couples think they have to decide straight away on their chair styling and colours before they book.

YOU DON'T!!

As long as you have your venue, date and approximate numbers - that's all you need in the first instance.

I will then pop you over a quote to ensure the costs meet your budget.

If you are happy with everything, fabulous, all we ask is for a non-refundable deposit which gets you booked in the diary, and I am then all yours to style your wedding.

We can then meet at the venue, I will bring with me all the colours in different fabrics and we can style the chairs, we can even have a glass of bubbles to add to the fun.

🎀 get to know the venue and staff

🎀 get to know the style of your venue

🎀 I use mood-boards for colours and themes

🎀 I will be realistic with colours, themes, styles and will be 100% honest with you / wedding couple

🎀 I will keep in contact throughout the whole of the wedding planning - I’m only a phone call / email / WhatsApp away

🎀 help create the vision of the wedding couple and bring it to life

🎀 I style all my weddings - I don't ask the venue to help style

🎀 I will liaise with the venue and discuss timings for delivery / set up / collection

🎀 I am there on hand to complete the full set up and won’t leave until it’s perfect

🎀 I can be there to change the room round from wedding ceremony to wedding breakfast making sure the vision is flawless throughout

🎀 the fabrics I use are of superior quality

🎀 I have so much passion in making sure the wedding is as how the couple dreamt it will be

🎀HAPPY 2ND BUSINESS BIRTHDAY TO ME 🎀

September, I celebrated my second year with Simply Bows and Chair Covers heading up the Simply Bows and Chair Covers - Worcestershire office.

And what a journey it has been, starting my wedding business during a global pandemic probably seemed like a bonkers idea but for me it was the best time to start, as I got to know my trade, build relationships so that when weddings started up again, as we knew they would, I could hit the ground running. It was a slow start but that was fine as everybody was adjusting to the 'new world' and there were a lot of weddings already booked, 2020 weddings, now being held in 2021, with the already booked 2021 weddings, it was a crazy time.

But 2022 by business has rocketed and has kept me very busy which I absolutely love.

2023 is starting to get booked up, especially over the summer months, 2024 has got bookings, and I've just had an enquiry for a 2025 wedding!!!

I feel that it is such an honor to be asked to style a couple's wedding or special event and not one I take for granted.

I'm not one who takes on lots of weddings for one day, as to me you are paying me to style your wedding for that day and I won't rush because I've got to style another wedding, to me that doesn't feel right. The images that you have on your wedding day last a lifetime and I don't my wedding chair styling to look unprofessional as I pride myself on my work and I style each wedding as if it was my own.

I was asked to style the chairs for a surprise 60th birthday party .

They weren't going to have chair covers and booked me a week before the event, and they were so glad they did as it really lifted the room and made the room so much brighter.

4 years ago today we had our first date, we had been chatting for hours and I mean hours the week leading up to our first date, getting to know each other.

After our first date and lots of chatting and more dates we moved in together just a week later !!

Yep some people thought we had rushed into things but we knew it was the right thing to do. I remember saying ‘I’ve done the whole courting thing and here I am at the age of 44 and still single, so why not take the gamble’.

Thankfully the gamble was worth it.

As we are now engaged and planning our wedding 💕

I flippin love what I do!

I honestly never thought I would ever find a business which I am totally in love with.

I love meeting people, I’m really nosey and love to get to know my wedding couples from what do they do as a job, to how they met, to the name of their pet.

I love making things look pretty and brining my wedding couples vision to life, it is such a privilege that that they trust me to style their special day.

I treat every wedding as if it was my own - I make sure that I only book out one wedding a day so that I can dedicate my time to that wedding couple. They are paying for my time and I won’t rush off to style another wedding. That’s not fair on either wedding couple.

I have huge plans for my wedding business as it is my absolute passion 💕

How did you meet your ‘other half’?

For me it all started with ‘Hey There’.

4 years ago today, I started ‘chatting’ to this guy from Worcester on Plenty of Fish. We spoke for hours and hours for the first week getting to know each other until our first date a week later on the 31st July, then on the 6th August he moved in. Yep I don’t waste anytime when I’ve found the one!!

What an amazing 4 years it’s been, it’s been a rollercoaster as many relationships are but we’ve stuck together and had a blast.

Creating the best memories ever. We have the perfect family - just the 4 of us.

Not only do I feel like I’m the luckiest girl on this planet to have my soul mate by my side. But Millie and George have gained an amazing father figure in their lives too.

Here’s to the rest of our lives together ❤️❤️❤️

Quick wedding tip!!

Many of my brides want their chair styling colours to match the colour of their bridesmaid dresses but this is virtually impossible, as you are using different fabrics which changes the colour - a dusky blue in chiffon is very different to a dusky blue in a satin ribbon.

My advice use a base colour like white and use ribbon / wedding foliage / broaches to accessorise the chiffon drape to compliment your wedding colours and theme.
