SHINDIGS has been running since around 1985, but only owned by its present owner since January 1989. SHINDIGS started in Wick in Caithness as a mobile disco but has evolved since with the Lighting and sound hire arm now belonging to Moray Firth Audio. Since its inception it has been gigging in some form up until 2000 when COVID hit the world and all Gigging stopped! Because of a chance conversatio

n with a fellow radio presenter, SHINDIGS was asked if they could provide a show which could be syndicated to radio stations, as many of these stations were struggling because of COVID. This then began a new chapter where not only could SHINDIGS do live events but now also be live on the Radio across the world...

Shindigs Old & New

Evolution is a great thing, Sometimes :) and when Shindigs first started it was very basic, as you can see...

Shindigs originated in the North of Scotland, and was running before it even started, no mean feat for a brand new business. Glen Campbell took over the business in 1989 and expanded from there. Over the years Shindigs has evolved and changed and in 1999 we converted to Moray Firth Audio, for 2 reasons. One because they were doing much more PA and Lighting for Bands, but Two, because Glen was working so much more in radio and also in Clubs, which meant that Shindigs although did take a back seat, was still very much alive in its Owner DJ Glen.

In 2019 Glen was asked to put a Rig together for a Charity event in Boat of Garten, and so the Shindigs Legacy kicked of once more.

And now in our 30th Birthday year, we embarked on a (World) Tour, LOL OK maybe not world, but a few dates were added to the diary.
