Last week we had some friends over for lunch. We decided to test run some on them. The beef came courtesy of a wonderful family run dairy farm who use retired dairy cattle for their meat and it is absolutely sublime! So rich in flavour due to the cows being older than standard beef cattle that is normally used. Honestly give them a follow and try out their products, you will NOT be disappointed! We whipped up some lovely little veg sides too like the Elotès on the right hand side, BANGING!!

Last night we had the immense pleasure of dining for Kirbins birthday meal. We had originally booked to go last year but the post Christmas blues (lockdown) meant it had to be cancelled. One year on it was definitely worth the wait! JUST WOW! what an incredible meal and amazing experience, from start to finish just absolute perfection. It made us proud to be from the Westcountry, to see some humble ingredients turned into the most mind blowing of dishes. All topped off by meeting the man himself who was kind enough to stop and take a picture with us and some of his team. To everyone , thank you! We will see you again soon for sure 🤙🤙🤙

Some shots from the Christmas party we catered for earlier today . Pork Bao Buns with slaw and our ever popular spicy spuds. Our last little venture for the year now and we had good fun doing it (even if my face doesn’t look like it!)

Earlier this year we took on an allotment which has been a dream of ours for a while now. I applied back in 2017 with the hope of getting one for myself, Kirsty and my Grandad to work on (he had one back in his younger years with my Nan and loved it) Unfortunately, he passed away before we got the go ahead but I know he’d be super proud of the work we’ve put into it, along with holding up full time jobs and running the pop up. It’s been a pretty busy year for us but with the help of family and friends we’ve achieved so much! We managed to harvest a little produce this year as shown in some of the photos but we took it on too late to get any really good yield from it. Fingers crossed next year we’ll be able to use some of our own produce to serve up to you wonderful people, hopefully from the new horse box too! We will keep you all updated through the winter months on how we’re getting on. Next year is going to be epic!

Honey roast pork we served up for a party a few weeks back. This went down a treat, cooked and seasoned to perfection. So simple do. Pork belly is a big favourite for us, it’s all to do with a nice even layering of fat to provide flavour and moisture while it cooks. Fancy having this at at an upcoming event you may have? Feel free to get in contact with us through our socials or via our website (link in bio).

WE HAVE A HORSEBOX!! She’s a doer upper but we can’t wait to get to work on converting her into a mobile kitchen. Brydog and Kirbins will be going on tour. This has been a dream of mine for years and it’s all coming true! So stoked!! The kindness of people really blows my mind and without you wonderful lot who’ve eaten our food, we wouldn’t be able to fund this exciting new project. Stay tuned for updates!

Evening everyone. I’ve just launched a new account on here called (yes, Biggles is another nickname) where I’ll be posting positive feedback about local eateries in and around Plymouth. The hospitality industry, as a lot of you may know, has taken a huge hit over the past 18 months causing many businesses to sadly close, businesses that were people’s dreams. My aim is to provide you with an idea of places around the city you may not have known were there. All posts will be positive and where necessary I will provide constructive criticism which will only be used with the intention to help, not be negative. I’m not a food critic, I’m not going to be writing newspaper articles to grab attention and Twitter fame, I’m just a Chef who loves food and I want to share my experience with you. I’ll also be posting about the food I make myself at home with some cheeky chef hacks that might inspire people to get in the kitchen a little more and give cooking a go. I’ll really appreciate it if you check my new page and give it a follow. Especially if you love food like me! Thank you! Brydog 🤙

We’re coming to the end of the season now but be sure to check out and for upcoming events to brighten up those darker evenings, we’ll be back on the 25th for a party so come on up! There are some more events happening in the not too distant future too that we’re hoping to be a part of so watch this space!

Getting to work on the curries for tonight. For me, this is probably the most important step in making a curry (and many other dishes) cooking the onions slowly in oil and butter (add coconut oil for a vegan curry). This is the first step to getting a really good base flavour into your curry and it’s absolutely essential! That sweet buttery aroma you get from doing this is just incredible! Nothing else will go in the pan until I’m satisfied with this stage of the cooking. Peeps are in for a treat tonight 🤙
