This darling couple John & Owen were one of my longest planning friendships to date crossing over from venue to my own business! Knowing you longer was a beautiful gift and such a gorgeous testimonial that I will treasure forever.
"The 23 july 2022, our wedding day, was without doubt the best day of my life. This was for many reasons, as a gay couple who met 22 years ago getting married was not an option for us, to bring friends and family together in one place, and declare our love to the world was then a fantasy. So, for us the pressure was on to make our wedding look as beautiful as we knew it would feel.
We wanted to treat ourselves and our guests to a sophisticated and glamorous day. Having recently moved to London from Norfolk we chose Marylebone town hall for our wedding and South Place Hotel for the reception/party. But what clinched the hotel was Amy. Having spent a short time with her, we were impressed with her artistic flare. We knew we were in safe hands.
You can imagine our trepidation later when Amy told us she was leaving South Place to form Ivy and Gold Studio. So, we made the obvious decision to also employ Amy to style the wedding. This was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding day.
The pandemic meant we had to change our original date three times. But Amy stuck with us, she was as committed to making our wedding day happen as we were.
Amy filled the reception rooms with the flowers we love, combining London city chic with an English country garden. Amy gave us practical and stylish suggestions on how to dress the reception rooms which she and her team executed to perfection. If this was not enough Amy ensured the day went without a hick up. Keeping a close eye on every detail.
We married on a glorious hot day, in the our new home town of London within the country gardens we remembered from our grandparents. In front of our family and friends, proudly declaring our love for each other. Thank you Amy xx"
