GOOD EARTH Good Earth Collective
So here we are, the The Session is almost upon us. We have been running this event since 2016 but this year is very special. GEC will play sets at the end of each day and we are dedicating the Session 2024 to our good friend and musical colleague Boo Sutcliffe music. Boo was an important part of the Session and we performed together many times. Boo was a generous and vocal supporter of grass roots music and his legacy, importance and influence can't be underestimated.

Join us for two days our great music in honour of our friend, the very much missed Boo Sutcliffe.

The Sesson is thrilled to be presenting Johnny Panic and the Bible of dreams as part of our Sunday. Described by Tom Robinson as ‘Superb’ and ‘Transcendental’ by Ian McMillan Johhny Panuic and the Bible of Dreams aka Jimmy Andrex is a spoken word artist and musician who makes poetry you can dance to that leaves you thinking long after the dancing has stopped.
What’s it like? People who like it invariably say one of three very flattering things:
1 “Do you like John Cooper Clarke?”
2 “Do you like Sleaford Mods?”
3 “Have you heard of a band called Yard Act?”

Our traditional Sunday Brunch Session will this year be hosted by Ship To Shore. Shanty singers based around the Holme Valley, miles from the sea (They may well be the most landlocked shanty crew in the country!). Start your sunday with some drinking songs, rousing sea shanties and songs of the sea along with some free croissants to get you in the mood for the second day of the Session.
