Spectacular bespoke cake design by Helena Jane Bakes with stunning gold bird cage separator and hand painted leaves 🍃 I love the edible printing on the biscuits!

Beautiful florals by Little Perth which complemented the tablescape perfectly.

Yes, you do!

I enjoyed a massively inspiring day last week at Momentum Day. A group of fantastic women all sharing their experiences and wisdom - this was my first Momentum Day and certainly won’t be my last. I learnt so much over the course of the day and it’s made me even more excited about what 2024 could have in store!

Happy Monday! How was your weekend?

It’s the start of half term for us so we’ve got lots of exciting things in the diary for the next seven days.

I always spend a Sunday morning planning and getting everything ready for the week ahead and I find it’s especially important when it’s a school holiday!

It helps me prioritise and make sure I’m spending time on the right projects.

While I’m in that frame of mind, I also meal plan and get the food shop ordered.

How about you, do you plan for your week? If not, why don’t you give it a go? You can even set time aside on a Monday morning.

Well hello 👋🏻

I always like to re-introduce myself every so often, so here we go!

I’m Carly … and I’m Sparks Life Events & Lifestyle Management! Unsurprisingly I’m a total planner and love nothing more than organising. I have a spreadsheet for everything!

I’ve lived in Dorset my whole life and I’ve lived in Southbourne for the last 8 years - I love it here - great beach, fantastic restaurants … I think it’s amazing.

When I’m not planning, I’m spending time with my family - husband, daughter & working cocker spaniel - usually walking said spaniel! My daughter loves big cats and birds so we’re working our way around all the attractions that appeal to her at the moment 🩷 As someone who loves wildlife, it’s definitely not a bad thing!

I love reading and met my target of finishing 24 books in 2023. I’ve increased it to 30 books this year but I also need to branch out and try new genres!

I also love musicals and I’m trying to get to the theatre a lot more this year. I’m a huge Hamilton fan!

This year I also want to prioritise exercise, I enjoy yoga but definitely need to dedicate more time to it this year as well as getting back into strength training.

So that’s me! What else would you like to know!
