one of you is taller than the other, linking arms can be awkward, holding hands however..more comfortable and relaxed and looks nicer in pictures but linking arms can look great too. The second couple absolutely owned their wedding and had a mix of tradition, family involvement and a beautiful unity candle ceremony enhancement. When they walked down the aisle hand in hand it wasn't planned, just natural and very them 😊. There's so many options for you and your wedding ceremony so why not check out my profile.

avoid the chaos and embarrassment of not enough wedding ceremony seats or reception seats and food by being very clear about which guests if any can bring +1 to your wedding.
.Make it clear on the save the date, invitation and rsvp
.When you're chatting to friends or your guests on the lead up to your wedding mention it in the conversation.
.If you have a wedding website make it clear on there and have it as a FAQ.
You shouldn't have to justify it to anyone, it's your wedding day. But you could

Outdoor wedding ceremony or indoor? It's a big decision for you as an engaged couple when you consider a wedding venue for your dream wedding day, do you want a venue that offers both, or are you set on one option. So what's your vote. I do Ceremonies at many different types of venues (the couples in the photo are ones I've done Ceremonies for) including top rated venues, gardens, woodlands, rustic barns etc so give me a follow as I often share insider tips and behind the scenes videos of venues. You can find out more here www.amandasceremonies.com

Rehearse, practise and if you're just going to repeat after the celebrant make sure you rehearse that...you don't want to have to repeat a really long sentence at such an intense moment. I advise all my couples on vows and help them write their own. So why not give me a follow, as an experienced wedding celebrant I share some handy tips.

There's a simple answer, Yes! What's not to love about a beach wedding (this one was windy as you can see 😂), or a lakeside wedding, a fairytale castle, an Italian villa? Couples love that reassurance that although it may be a strange country, their celebrant is someone they know and trust. Beautiful settings, sun, lovely weather, they all add up to a relaxed wedding ceremony with a great vibe. My motto is "Have wedding - will travel" and I'm happy to do so to ensure your wedding day and your personalised wedding ceremony suits the climate, and encapsulates what you're about as a couple. So if you'd be interested in working with me for your destination wedding, just DM me the word Destination.

Having so many bridesmaids and groomsmen stood during your ceremony, it feels like they're bodyguards or your entourage 😂. (There were actually 7 of each in the original photo) .But seriously during your ceremony apart from looking gorgeous the only thing they're doing is getting in the way of the photographer, I mean look how big a zoom is needed to get some of them in this shot. You almost need binoculars to see the couple!!! But as your celebrant it's always your choice that matters, and I totally appreciate their may be personal or cultural reasons why some couples do this, but what do you think, sitting or standing, let me know in the comments.

If you're repeating after your celebrant discuss sentence breaks, you don't want to have to repeat a really long sentence at such a moment. Also practise and rehearse, if reading your own practise in front of a mirror to check you're not just staring at your paper all the time. You'll definitely be able to do it 👍😊. Follow me if you want more great wedding tips from an experienced celebrant!
Ps I help all my couples with this, including writing their own vows 👍

Talk about plot twist! Was I crazy giving up a successful teaching career of 34 years to become a wedding celebrant?!?
I was happy but then tragedy struck, an unexpected family bereavement and an inspirational funeral celebrant led me to the decision. The celebrant at my brother's funeral was able to create such positive vibes and allowed us to create something really personal by giving us great freedom of choice over the ceremony. I decided I wanted to able to do that for other people, and I knew my brother would have loved it!

Nearly 2 years training in funerals, weddings and baby namings followed. I got the message to say I'd passed when was at Ibiza airport, and started my own business shortly afterwards. I now specialise in weddings, and my why remains the same I'm passionate about -

.Giving couples total freedom of choice within their ceremony,
.creating beautiful personalised ceremonies and giving total guidance and support along our journey
.so the experience is fun and stress free. BECAUSE I believe life is short, memories and moments are precious and I want to give my couples the very best experience because everyone deserves AT LEAST that on such a special occasion.

4 years later I have no regrets, I love what I do and I think if you asked my couples they'd say it comes across in my work. Never fear a plot twist, although difficult at the time, difficult journeys can lead to beautiful destinations and experiences you'd never have dreamed of.

As your wedding celebrant I make sure the bride AND the groom are relaxed and wedding ready not only for our ceremony but for all aspects of the wedding day. I advise on wedding etiquette, choreography, suppliers and even help plan garden ceremonies because I want to ensure your day is perfect. So why not check out the reviews at www.amandasceremonies.com or comment the word How and I'll be in touch for an informal no obligation chat. It could be one of your best decisions yet 😉.

People once believed that evil spirits could enter the bride through her hands, so wearing gloves was a way to protect her. It's a bit spooky right? Imagine saying "I do" with ghost-busting gloves! Such a special moment in your wedding ceremony but instead of saying the traditional "who gives this woman" there's much nicer ways. Here's just 2 of many examples "I'd like to thank Lucy's father (or best friend or step father or brother/son) for accompanying Lucy on this very special occasion" OR I ask "who presents Lucy to be joined as one with partner's name today?" And the relevant person/people say "I do/ we do" and if you like they can say their relationship to you too.
Don't forget it's your wedding day so for all sorts of reasons couples sometimes walk down the aisle together, or choose a different family member (brother, sister, son, uncle etc) or friend to walk them down the aisle - it's your day YOUR way. The CIVIL/STATUTORY CEREMONY .
has two witnesses and the registrar, it's a standard format of legal declaratory words + contractual vows, no scope for personalised touches. (£46 for the legal ceremony + £11 for the certificate (Google civil ceremony UK cost and click the gov.uk link on the search results.)

BUT at a council approved venue/hotel it could be over £700, at the weekend, evenings or bank holidays even more. (see your council website for regional variations).😱

BUT THERE IS A BETTER MORE POPULAR WAY......A GAME CHANGER

✅Many couples have their personalised no limits celebrant led ceremony with family and friends at their venue on their chosen date, but do the legal registry office ceremony either before or after. No just because of costs but..
✅Celebrants ceremonies have no restrictions, + venues don't have to be licensed for ceremony...so you've more venue choice. You can marry literally anywhere, even your own garden, a stately home or a beachfront location.
✅The ceremony is written with you for you, totally personalised.
✅Also if a registrar isn't available for your venue date/time, a celebrant can be
✅AND it can be very similar to a legal/traditional ceremony if that's how you want it.
Want me to explain fully then just DM me for a no obligation chat, I just want you to be informed about your choices.

This is definitely one of the best parts of planning your wedding! If you're a foodie did you know you can incorporate food in your ceremony with me, now that's something to relish. As for the tasting a few other tips,

✅really make it an event, look forward to it and make sure you're in a good mood, food doesn't taste the same when you're stressed!

✅If you're vegan but having a meat option take a meat eater with you to taste it, and vice versa of course.

✅if there's a child's menu taste the food too.

So if there's any other tips you'd like to share feel free to add them in the comments. Any tips from my wedding planner friends
