The Eat Street Table

When we first moved into HQ, we never imagined that a simple scaffold table would turn into such a talking point, but here we are 2 years on, and The Eat Street Table is getting busier and busier.

Although we have started doing our pay what you want events once a month, you can book The Table privately for a celebration, get together with friends , or treat a loved one. The Table seats 8 people, and as part of the booking, we will create a surprise menu of dishes from around the world. We also have a bar available on a tab basis, featuring some of our favourite Island drinks – gin & rum from IOW Gin co, vodka from Mermaid, whisky from WW, beer from wild Oak and Goddards and cocktails from IOW cocktail as well as the wonderfully sustainable wines from Sea Change.

We can also add on additional extras such as canapes or bubbly on arrival, masterclasses such as gin, vodka, rum and coffee, mixology, and make your own cocktails.

If you’re interested in booking The Table for a special occasion, please get in touch to discuss directly with us

What do we mean when we say 'signature Eat Street bread'?

All of our breads are ALWAYS made fresh on the day, regardless of whether there are 2 burger rolls or 300 flatbreads. Alex frequently sets his alarm for 4am on the day of a big event, and the smell of freshly baked bread fills HQ.

Our coloured breads NEVER have any artificial colourings in them - instead coloured (and flavoured) with spinach, beetroot, carrot, jalapeño, red pepper, tomato, coriander.

We don't buy in any breads, (other than GF to reduce the risk), so you can be sure that the bread served at your event will be fresh, from the Eat Street kitchen. We've even had some wedding clients specifically ask for a menu that includes flatbreads because they want the bright colours!

If you want brightly coloured and deliciously flavoured bread at your event, get in touch with us

We had a private booking for 6 for a special birthday celebration last night .
Birthday girl is a huge fan of peas so we made a special course for her including pea, mint and ricotta arancini, pea and broad bean scotch egg and pea ketchup. We also converted her (accidentally) from a vegetarian 4 years ago with our pulled pork burger on the takeaway so brought it back for her!
Check out the menu below.

Saturday 29th March

Brazilian cheese bread, marmite butter

An ode to the pea

Teriyaki chicken wontons

Potato, sage & onion, crispy chicken

The vegetarian converter

Persian pulled short rib, kale and garlic yoghurt, harissa roasted carrots and parsnips

Gougere, aged parmesan, Isle of Wight pickled fig

Honey and almond financier, tonka bean creameaux, banana sherbet

PB & J fudge
Salted almonds caramel chocolates

If you want to book the table for a special event get in touch.

Laurel has joined Alex in becoming a ambassador - the first husband and wife team.

We have a great wealth of hospitality experience between, having both worked in the industry in some form since we were teenagers.
We're also passionate about breaking down the taboos and burning the stigma that comes with mental health and talking about it.

Lots of exciting things in the pipeline!

We are always reviewing our processes to try and be more sustainable. Sometimes you have to question why you do something.
Recently we've been trying to go paperless.

What we've done so far -
● Digitalise everything including receipts where possible. Did you know most receipts aren't recyclable?
● Ask our suppliers not to send us unnecessary paperwork such as delivery notes
● Ensure any paper that does come in is used as scrap for lists before being recycled

We loved meeting so many lovely couples on Sunday at the wedding showcase. It was great to hear so many couples are looking for a more casual dining, interactive wedding breakfast rather than the more traditional plated 3 course meal.

As many will already know, we love providing a range of cuisines from all over the World, and quite often will provide clients with flavours they may not have experienced before.

Our 2025 weddings bookings are taking us from Italy to Deep South America, to the Caribbean – every menu is different, and tailored to the client’s exact requirements.

We love flavour. We love colour. We love uniqueness.

We’re pleased to say, that following Sunday’s success, we have now opened our 2027 diary for bookings!

Please get in touch if you’d like to discuss having something slightly different as your wedding catering

Yesterday we did a collab pop up with .iow using their delicious beef and beer.

The plan was to set up in their barn and everything was arranged but unfortunately due to events out of their control they had to leave their premises early and we were left without a venue. This happened on Sunday.

So we relished the challenge and turned our HQ around into a venue for 7 tables of 2 and closed our bookings. We couldn't be happier with how it turned out and fortunately our customers agreed. It was a great atmosphere and such a unique dining experience, right in the heart of our kitchen. It's got our cogs turning 🤔

Thanks so much to .iow for the collaboration, lending us their tables and chairs and storing for us.

Feeling very proud and humbled today.
