Wednesday this week saw us cater two events - a lovely wedding at the gorgeous before the rain came in and then an anniversary meal delivered to for some wedding clients from last year, who weirdly got married at East Afton as well!

Menus included our signature bhaji and teriyaki chicken canapes, plus also a throwback with the yorkie and IOW pulled beef from followed by brisket loaded roasties with our signature queso and jerk chicken with rice & beans and sweetcorn fritter (we even sneaked in a delicious Mr Wippy from before we left)

The menu for the anniversary meal was exactly the same menu as was enjoyed a year ago - Middle Eastern beef, our signature flatbreads, sweet potato & kale salad with muhammara and whipped feta. We also provided slider versions of their evening food - bhaji burgers and chipotle chicken.

As with all our clients, we provide a handwritten thank you card designed by and a hand poured candle from

A lovely intimate wedding this afternoon for 40 guests. On the menu was a selection if our signature burgers - IOW short rib with IOW beer rarebit & spicy pickles, Chipotle chicken with avo slaw and feta, and a Mediterranean inspired halloumi, hummus & chargrilled pepper for the veggies all served with with our signature roasties and a Caribbean slaw

It was great doing another event over in East Wight, where we very rarely venture. We stopped for a little treat ice cream on the way home from set up yesterday at the Brading Downs Viewpoint 🥂🍦

5 years ago, we catered our first wedding ❤️

We've learnt so much in the last 5 years, both what we like to offer and the values we stand for as a business.

Being their on a couple's special day, providing food for their guests that hopefully they'll remember for years to come is the biggest honour.

There are a lot of joys when running your own business. One of the biggest is catering for some of your best friends wedding!

Yesterday was an absolute blast of colour, love, family and food.

We don't normally serve plated meals for 40, but for such a special occasion we made an exception - 4 course menu, dessert table, wedding cake, evening street food and brunch this morning using some of the islands amazing produce.

With the help of some wonderful Island suppliers, this day was a truly memorable one ❤️

And just like that, Eat Street is 5! 🥳

Crikey, what a mad half a decade it's been. When we first started the business (although we weren't a 'we' back then), it felt like such an uncertain time with a lot of anxiety in the World, not knowing what the future held, but just knowing we were going to give it all we had to make the business a success.

If you've been following us from the start, you'll know our journey, but if you're fairly new, we started as a contact free takeaway business. Events were never on our radar. However, after 2 years of doing takeaway 5 days a week, we moved solely into events. We were getting more and more enquiries for weddings, corporate do's and private parties.

Our little business, which was started as the result of being made redundant, has become our passion and our third, almost 4th baby 😸👧👶🍃

We're so immensely proud of what we have built, of consistently standing by our values, of challenging people when we're being taken for granted, of saying 'no' to events that will mean us sacrificing our time off or family time, of constantly striving to be better.

Thanks to you, our customers, followers, and supporters, for helping us achieve all we have in the last 5 years. From every like, share, booking, and review, we are humbled and grateful from the bottom of our hearts. We truly couldn't have done any of it without

Here's to the next 5!

Recently we shared the great news that we are now zero emissions, having invested in an electric pick up truck!

Whilst that fulfils one of our biggest ambitions for our future it doesn't undo the last 5 years of our carbon creating beast. We estimated that running our old diesel 4x4 for the last 5 years created approximately 10 tonnes of carbon and that just doesn't sit well with us.

But what to do? Buy some carbon credits? Plant some trees? We looked at a lot of options and found them all a bit tricky to quantify. What kind of trees are we planting? Will they still be here in 10 years?

We spoke to the and decided to help to maintain and protect established woodlands, what is referred to as informal carbon, which is a highly effective way to contribute to climate action.
Not only are we supporting existing carbon stores, but we're also helping preserve vital habitats and biodiversity.

So we've donated £250 to The Woodland Trust, at their recommendation of £25 per tonne of carbon to lock up that 10 tonnes that we created

We've just returned home after catering the 2nd most special (to our wedding) event we've ever done - of course everyone's event is special, but Alex's Grandma's 90th takes the crown! 👑

Alex put on a delicious spread, afternoon tea Eat Street style featuring our signature beetroot bahjis, curried chicken sausage rolls, borek and Scotch eggs along with scones, lemon meringue tarts, tiramisu, used & hazelnut brownies, Tunisian orange cake, carrot cake and two nods to the birthday girl - Jamaican ginger cake & gin and juniper macarons with Sheila chocolate button faces!

Whilst this event was a wonderful family get together, with Alex not feeling his best and with 32°C heat, it wasn't the easiest!

The birthday girl had a marvellous time though 🥰
