As an events company, every event we cater is special in their own way – we can remember every single one, and who the client was. But there is one that stands out, head and shoulders above the rest – Our Wedding Day!

What does a catering company have for food on their wedding day? Click the link below to find out and have a look at some beautiful photos.

And just like that, wedding season 2025 is complete.

What a high to end on - our biggest one day event in the history of Eat Street at the beautiful Kingston Manor House
- 710 individual canapes
- 2 course wedding breakfast for 157 guests
- 9 dish main course
- 142 individual pistachio cheesecakes
- 150 freshly made signature flatbreads
- 140 evening meals served
- 20 hour shift

For most catering businesses, there is a team of chefs behind the menu. For us, there is just one - Alex. This is an incredible amount of food to prepare, especially to our high standards and quality and with a broken oven, which we normally rely so heavily on. This meant carting over our waterbaths, chafing dishes, fryer, and smoker to ensure we could deliver the menu!

We used a number of amazing suppliers from across the Island to ensure our bride and groom had the perfect menu for their perfect day.

Not only was this our biggest one day event to date, but it was also the event with the most dietary requirements we've ever had to cater for - 28 to be precise! All of these guests had their own alternative dishes to replace the dishes they couldn't eat.

We couldn't have done this event without our incredible staff, who helped us out massively throughout the day - lots of running back and forth and heavy lifting and supporting Laurel when she needed a rest or couldn't constantly get in and out of the horsebox (difficult at the best of times, but with a 7 month baby bump it's almost impossible!)

As you might know, at Eat Street we love colour! And all our menus are always full of pops of various colours. These pictures are really what we're all about!

Huge congratulations to A&J, and thank you for putting your trust in us to cater the most special day of your lives. We had a wonderful day celebrating with you ❤️

*****HONEST POST*****

This weekend we are catering for our biggest wedding yet, 170 guests. A lot of planning goes into delivering this much food and keeping food waste to a minimum.

Zero waste - does it mean we never waste anything? A common myth we wish was true. The reality is we are human and sometimes make mistakes but outside of that there are also other factors that are out of our control. We want to share with you something that happened this week that quite frankly just sucks. It's easy just to not tell you and maintain the illusion of the perfect business that doesn't waste a morsel but we want to be real.

We were doing our usual 2 day cook on these lovely ox cheeks and we went to check on them in the oven. Unfortunately the oven had failed us (first time) and was not up to temperature for some reason unknown. The ox cheeks were sat in the danger zone and unsafe to serve to our customers. We had to throw it all away......70 cheeks......35 cow's cheeks 😔
Devastated is an understatement. A low point for us but outside of our control.

The repercussions-

• Luckily we don't chance cooking the meat up until the last second before your event, we leave enough time to correct anything that could possibly go wrong. New beef from (at our cost) brined and on to cook, this time using a waterbath whilst our oven is down.

• We are now using a different cut of meat because it was too late to get enough cheeks from the IOW. We gave our bride and groom the option of a different cut or cheeks from the mainland. That meant new menus printing - we covered the cost of that so our B&G don't have to.

• We probably won't get our oven fixed before Saturday so this means adaptive planning to help us achieve this menu without our oven we usually rely so heavily on. We have purchased some extra equipment and are drawing on some other kit from HQ including our smoker which usually doesn't travel.

The short story is we are not perfect, life is not perfect but we are adaptive and agile, we take responsibility and swallow the cost of extra things when we need to and we have your back. Book with us and you will be in safe hands.

Saturday saw us cater our smallest wedding to date - a gorgeous intimate celebration with 24 guests at the stunning

When we first started speaking to the couple, we knew it was going to be something special. At the time we proposed a menu that meant guests would share a tiffin, however, with our new batch of tiffins we were able to change and provide individual ones

The menu consisted of Asian canapes
- panipuri with chutneys
- teriyaki chicken with 5 spice potato crisp
- Korean beef croquette with ssamjang
- beetroot bhaji with mango chutney

Starter, served in our beautiful new plates from of samosa chaat, with handmade samosas with vegetable juice colourings

Each guest received a hand painted tiffin filled with
- hariyali gosht lamb curry
- tarka dal
- pilau rice

With carrot & kale pakoras, Sri Lanken goat rolls, tomato & chilli chutney, rotis provided on the table

Dessert was a delicious garam masala chocolate tart, with burnt orange jam, buko, and Eat Street coconut ice cream

We also provided a stacked cheese cake with a Baron Bigod so gooey and ripe that it started collapsing halfway through dinner! (Laurel can't wait to enjoy one of these over Christmas!)

Everyone loved it! If you're planning an intimate wedding for 2026 or 2027 and would love something unique, get in touch!

We've been getting a lot of enquiries recently for Christmas parties - whilst we love how organised everyone is, unfortunately we won't be taking any bookings this year, as we're due baby number 2 in December.

We're taking a month off to enjoy Christmas with family, coming back to work ready for . Whilst we won't be taking any big bookings in early 2026, if you're planning an intimate dinner party or want to book The Eat Street Table, these are still available.

We also have another exciting project we're working on, but more on that another day.
