DJ Bio

J808E - first came into the fold around 9 years ago dJ’ing psychedelic trance and dabbling with techno in the free party movement across the North West. Learning his craft and staying focused, he soon found his love for the darker side and relentless rhythms of Hard Techno.

Over the past few years, he has become a fundamental part of the wAliens free party crew and is a key member to running the sound system and DJing regular on the circuit for the wAliens, other crews and supporting worldwide artists.

From the summer of 2018 to present day J808E has been collaborating in the studio with A.P. gaining production experience with plans to release on his own label. You can catch him playing his Hard Techno cuts at festivals, raves and clubs all over.

This weekend Friday 29th April we look forward to J808E playing the closing set for Connect Rebellion Manchester✌️

Porchcrawler - fresh off the back of a huge 2 years which saw him play sets at Bluedot and Beat-Herder festivals, and gearing up to play Glastonbury 2022, Porchcrawler joins us at Rebellion Manchester for Connects launch event on Friday 29th April. Having already played across the UK in venues such as London’s Koko, Birmingham’s O2 Institute, Glasgow’s SWG3, Bristol’s SWX – as well as touring with the renowned 808 State alongside Afrodeutsche, ABSOLUTE, Lone and Pearson Sound. It’s clear big things are in store for this up and coming Manchester based DJ/Producer. Expect relentless warehouse techno, darker electro and heavy breaks.

Jake Allen - is an up and coming independent hardware based producer and live techno act from North Wales and the final live act to be announced for Connects launch event. During the first lockdown Jake Allen producer of 9 years, acquired his first hardware sampler and synthesizers. He then immediately saw their potential as a performance instrument and having honed his art for 2 years behind closed doors, Jake is ready to hit the ground running with his dark room techno style. He is currently in his final year of his degree in Music Production based in Chester and has released a number of tracks under his House alias the Cymbalist. Jake is currently writing his debut EP under this Techno alias.

BLACAKAT - is a two 2 piece unit consisting of DBP and Speedy. Fusing multiple genres of electronic music including techno, trance, bass and breakbeat to create a live performance which is constantly evolving and never the same twice. DBP delivers live electronic drums, percussion and sample triggering. Speedy provides synths, multi effects and sequencing.
