We’re really sorry to have to let you know that we have taken the reluctant decision to cancel The Market at Dumfries House this Sunday, 20th Oct

We’ve been tracking the weather all week and hoped that the wind gust speeds would drop but they are actually increasing. The very high wind gust speeds currently forecast by the Met Office for Sunday are outwith our safe working limits for running the market on the site.

Cancelling a market is something we try to avoid but the safety of our traders and the general public is always our priority. We have carefully considered our decision and are truly sorry to disappoint you all, but we know it’s the right thing to do.

Again, sincere apologies for the cancellation.
