One of the most rewarding parts of running an events company is when our partners place their trust in us to deliver for their own clients. In this case, a well-known sports venue recommended Huxley Events to one of their corporate clients — and we were thrilled to deliver!

After a productive morning of team meetings and lunch, the group set off on our “Around the World” GPS Treasure Hunt Adventure — a fun, competitive, and engaging way to bring teams together (with quiz questions, pictures and video challenges and trivia!).

We’ve been busy pitching some stunning locations for our clients’ upcoming events this week— each with its own unique charm and personality.

We always try to find out as much as we can about our clients brief, expectations and hopes for their event venue (and often help guide them, when they're really note sure what they're looking for!)

Just some of the venue's we've suggested to Huxley Events clients this week;

🌿 University Arms, Cambridge – A beautiful blend of classic architecture and contemporary style, right in the heart of Cambridge! Perfect for sophisticated events with amazing service (and it smells *really* good).

🌿 Down Hall Hotel, Essex – Set in 110 acres of countryside, this grand country house hotel offers amazing event spaces and breathtaking grounds — ideal for getting out of the city, with plenty of space to explore.

🌿 Malmaison Oxford – A former prison turned boutique hotel! We LOVE the uniqueness of this one, it always impresses with its striking architecture and quirky character — a brilliant choice for events that want to make a statement (you can hire the event space with the "cell" bedrooms off it!)

🌿 Alveston Manor, Stratford-upon-Avon – Steeped in history and full of charm, this Tudor-style manor offers a warm, welcoming setting that is just a 10 minute walk into the centre of Stratford-upon-Avon (a great base to explore from). We love the combination of heritage and location here.

And just like the NARS - Norfolk Accident Rescue Service 55th charity ball at Caistor Hall Hotel Norwich is over, and WOW what a night it was!

An unbelievable £76,500 was raised from the evening. A massive well done to everyone involved and especially the extremely hard working NARS team Steve Maddams &Rose Steward 🦩. Every person who donated, bought raffle tickets, bid on auction prizes and attended the event, contributed to making it such a success - so a big thank you.

A huge shout out to the Huxley Events team behind the scenes who worked on the logistics, and delivered the night too! Victoria, Luutsche & Conor. Plus all the absolutely brilliant suppliers and event partners who worked with us on the night - without the huge team effort, none of it would be possible.

This week, we had the pleasure of accompanying Steve for a tasting of the incredible menu being crafted for this year’s NARS - Norfolk Accident Rescue Service Charity Ball, taking place at the stunning Caistor Hall Hotel Norwich on 11th October.

Under the expertise of the Head Chef and his talented team, every dish is being prepared with the perfect balance of creativity, flavour, and presentation that Caistor Hall is so well known for! Guests are in for a real treat!🍴✨

From delicate canapés like Asian Rare Roast Beef in poppy seed baskets to indulgent mains such as Marinated Norfolk Chicken with pomme anna and smoked leek crumb, the menu promises to be an unforgettable dining experience!

The Huxley Events team are delighted to be joining as not only guests, but also with our amazing event managers on the night ensuring a super smooth evening.

We had the most fantastic time with the Qlik team last week at The Libertine, London. The team were looking for a corporate team building experience that included dinner, a chance to socialise and bond as a team.

After suggesting a variety of team experiences from us at Huxley Events and recommended a selection of beautiful locations for them to choose from, the team settled on our "Crime & Dine CSI Experience" with a delicious 3 course dinner and drinks in the private dining space at The Libertine

Well, what a fun (and warm!) time we had with the Rudlings Solicitors LLP team last week at the SugarBeat Eating House. A late afternoon CSI Experience for the team in the marquee, before they enjoyed food and drinks. Fingerprints were dusted, the crime scene explored, and the case solved!

Last week, the Huxley Events team transformed our client's office into a full-blown 90s party, and it was EPIC💿

What a dream it was to work on a brief like this, the aim was a fun, social event (and from the feedback we achieved that!)

From giant glitter ball backdrops and cassette props to flamingo statues and lollipop installations, we went all-in to bring those retro vibes to life. We added in an acoustic 90s set, event DJ, ice cream bike, Disco ball photobooth, BBQ feast, and even inflatable axe throwing (and so much more) — and we created the ultimate 90's party🎶🍔

The highlights included:

🚀 What a day! We were thrilled to host an unforgettable team-building away day for 200 amazing guests, designed and delivered by the team at Huxley Events

After carefully reviewing the options, they landed on two high-impact, high-energy experiences:

🛠 Formula R in the morning – where teams designed, built, and raced self-propelled (rubber band powered!) model cars. The creativity and competitive spirit were off the charts, and the racetrack finale had everyone buzzing.

🗂 The Red Folder Challenge in the afternoon – a fast-paced activity packed with over 100 tasks for teams to tackle and earn points. It was the perfect mix of strategy, collaboration, and fun!

We also worked closely with client to ensure their company values were seamlessly embedded into the sessions – and the result was a day full of energy, purpose, and connection.

🎯 The feedback summed it up perfectly:

"Everyone at Huxley provided excellent support for two sessions at our annual staff awayday. The whole team were very impressive and made sure everything ran perfectly on the day. We had lots of comments from colleagues to say how much they enjoyed the workshops and I don’t think I’ve seen so many smiles at any of our previous events. The Formula R session was a particular highlight – and the atmosphere around the racetrack was buzzing! The team kept the energy high throughout both sessions and a great time was had by all."

We are so fortunate we get to work in some truly stunning and interesting locations, with our team experiences! Cliveden House and Spa is just one of the locations we've had the privilege of working in. We hosted a Crime Scene Investigation Experience with our in-house former Scotland Yard Detective Steve Gaskin in the beautiful Boudoir private dining room.

The estate has been home to dukes, earls, viscounts and a prince and it was even a hospital during the First World War.

We love unique experiences in amazing locations, give us a shout if you're looking for something spectacular!
