About the day:
Outdoor ceremony in the woods at amongst the secoyas, a truly magical experience!

Reception was filled with food provided by the family, cake by a friend, music own playlist & STUNNING pizza from 🍕

It was an absolute treat to share such a magical day & while today I’ve all of the flare up it was worth it!!

🩵END OF AN ERA🩵

On Tuesday, I coordinated my final wedding. has been my passion for 15 years but I feel it’s time to move on. Media appearances, radio interviews, countless articles & all. God I’m grateful 🥰

For D+Ts wedding on Tuesday , I got to work with a wonderful couple, at a favourite venue, with industry friends who make my soul sing. It was the best way to end 💙

I was told several times how thoughtful I looked, oops, got caught thinking haha! I was just so thankful that I’d had the chance to build my dream business, to succeed in ways I never thought possible, & to leave a legacy having brought so many changes to the industry.

What’s next? Well I’ve space for 2 mentoring clients starting in September. Oof saying that out loud feels GOOD.

🧡Mentoring - supporting & cheer leading others in finding THEIR feet on the path to success. Chronic illness is a challenge for sure but it DOESN’T have to mean the end of your dream. I’m living proof that you CAN have it all.

Putting my face on the grid, first time in an age! But having spent time with talking with D+T at about their wedding earlier, I felt chatty.

Also saw & who always make my soul sing, love those hugs. What a day🩷

The last few months have been awesome.

I’m now fully booked for clients, something I didn’t expect to happen so quickly! I get to work with such inspiring people, the days fly by💻

Outside of work I’m enjoying reconnecting with friends & family, especially at this time of year. Weekends either home or away, it doesn’t matter. Dare I say it, I think I miss the event-ing. Although my body is certainly more comfortable 😉

So that’s my life update. How have YOU been? Bxx

Nice to see this piece appear again today :D I'll miss speaking to media about the weird world of weddings, but if news keeps coming around like this piece I did a few months ago, then I guess Emerald Orchid Weddings will always be known :)

After 14 long years, it’s time for me to hang up my wedding planning hat. I’ve adored… most of it. And I have made friends for life!

But other projects call me.

Plus I’ve missed my family too much, especially every single summer since C was born. That’ll stay with me a while I gotta say.

I have C+A’s wedding in May, then D+T in August. They’re aware of the changes, after all communication is key 🩵thanks for your understanding guys, you know we’re gonna party hard!

I’ve not posted on here that much recently. I haven’t known what to say TBH. A lot of soul searching has been going on & life has been… I dunno. I’m in a good place don’t get me wrong, but I’ve had to remove myself from the online space & it’s toxicity.

Enjoy this time, you won’t get it back & there’s ZERO reason to put pressure on yourself to plan all the things right now.

Sure all us wedding suppliers are trying to catch your eye! After all, it’s our busiest time of the year for engagements.

According to my diary, it's today! Now I don't know about you, but there is ALWAYS music in my office. Actually, in my home in general. Music forms the backdrop to every moment of my day, & to say my taste in tunes is eclectic is an understatement lol. My current obsession is Teddy Swims, plus I still have a big soft spot for Paloma :)
