Arguably the most important part of your wedding day are your vows, the promises you make to one another as you begin married life ❤️ I truly believe that every wedding ceremony should be unique and completely personal, which is why I would recommend a celebrant lead ceremony. A celebrant ceremony can take place anywhere as isn't restricted by licensing laws, which also means that you aren't constrained in what you must, and must not, say during your vows. Keep your promises beautifully personal and write your own vows 💍

Hi everyone 👋 It's been a little while, sorry about that. It's quite easy at the moment to become demotivated and bogged down in the negativity, I must admit that I've found it all rather challenging. The hospitality and wedding industry is stretched right now, but it is so thrilling to see weddings begin to take place once again 💍 Seeing this joy and happiness of these long awaited wedding days is a brilliant reminder of why those working in weddings do what we do - because we love it! Has anyone else felt utterly confused by the weather over the last couple of days? One minute it's lovely sunshine, and dare I say it 'warm', then it's grey and drizzling rain. My coat has been on and off more than I can count! ☀️🌧️ Anyway, looking at this glorious bouquet has me dreaming of a proper day of spring sunshine! 🌻

As of yesterday (4th May 2021), the way that marriages are registered in the UK has changed! Couples will no longer have to physically sign the register during their wedding ceremony, and instead a single electronic marriage register will be used ✍️

It seems like a step forward in bringing the marriage records into the modern day, although I must admit I think I'll miss seeing couples sign the register to legalise their marriage during the ceremony 💕 There is another plus to the electronic register; meaning that the names of both parents can be listed, rather than just the fathers (how outdated was that!?)

My top tip when it comes to deciding on your wedding day hairstyle - have a trial session with your hair stylist! 💇‍♀️ There will be some many things to consider, from whether your dress would be best showcased if your hair was up rather than down, whether your makeup would be complimented with a soft hairstyle around the face.

It's important to remember that not every hairstyle works for every hair type, your hairstylist can offer you genuine advice from their experience and will ensure you look and feel stunning in your chosen do!

I live in Sussex with my fiancé and I have worked coordinating and planning weddings for over 5 years - I love every second of it. Why do I work in weddings? Because I'm a hopeless romantic at heart ❤️ Growing up, I had wanted to be a wedding photographer - to capture one of the most wonderful moments in a persons life, would be a real honour I felt. I realised however that my organisational and relationship building skills put me in good stead for taking on the planning and coordination of weddings, so that's what I did. ⁠

I have worked on a huge variety of weddings, from two day celebrations with hundreds of guests, to intimate weddings with 15 guests - each and every wedding is unique and that's why they're so much fun.

A question often asked by couples is when, or even whether, to send out save the dates. Save the dates may not always be needed, but I would always advise sending them if your wedding is over summer or a bank holiday. You don't want people to book a holiday and miss out on your wedding day! ⁠

Once you have confirmed your venue and date, you can send out your save the dates. At that point, you don't need to any more information - just enough for people to know to keep that date free. You'll send out invites will full details of the day at a later point. ❤️

'To have and to hold, from this day forward' - it's a phrase often heard in wedding vows. Did you know that if you're opting for a ceremony conducted by a registrar, then you don't have much freedom when it comes to your vows? This legal ceremony process is confined by rules and laws, so you may not be able to say what you want to say - there are also restrictions on what music can be played and you must be in a legally licenced space. 🤵

If you want more freedom, to write your own vows and make your wedding ceremony truly personal, I would highly recommend a celebrant ceremony. Celebrants are not constrained by legal jargon and will take time to really get to know you as a couple. 💍

Deciding on the dishes, that final menu, you want to be served to your guests on your wedding day can be a challenge. Do you choose your favourite foods, something slightly unusual and exciting, or a classic that always goes down well the majority?

I would always recommend having a menu tasting with your caterer before you make any decisions. Generally you will of course want to pick something that the majority of people will enjoy, but make sure that you like it too! It's your wedding day, eat what you would like to eat. It may be worth offering guests a choice if you are undecided, but always check that your venue and/or caterer are happy to offer multiple dishes at each course 🍽️
