For those who don’t know, His Day was born because our founders, Anna & David found themselves newly engaged and realising the lack of resources out there specifically for the groom.

Well on the 1st September 2023, Anna and David tied the knot at Tortworth Court in Gloucestershire.
🎩
We had the perfect day with perfect suppliers and so, as we do with our fairs, we are going to do a round of supplier spot lights. Keep and eye out over the next week for our fantastic suppliers and which fairs they’ll be at soon!

On the flip side of our wet weather option tip...
Make sure you're prepped for the heat!
Yes, a tweed suit is lovely. But will it be lovely in 40 degree heat on a summer's day? I think not.
We're not saying don't have what you want, please do! But maybe have some options:
- A spare shirt in case you sweat profusely (from nerves and/or heat)
- A handkerchief to wipe sweat to prep for photos (let your groomsmen pretend they're in Holby City or something wiping your brow)
- A break in the day to go and have a cold shower
Many options, but important to consider!

We LOVE a different kind of supplier who wants to work with us. And this week, we found another!
reached out to us to be part of one of the upcoming Autumn wedding fairs. They're an optician! Who in the world thinks about eyewear in the build-up to the wedding?!
What glasses will go with my suit?
Will I need shades?
Contacts or specs?
Will the flash photography just reflect off my lenses?
All questions I've asked myself. But worry no more grooms, we've got you covered.
Who could have seen this coming?! Pun intended.

But so what if it's raining on your beautiful summer wedding? If you've planned well, you'll have a rainy weather alternative.
Most good venues will have this in mind, as you can't predict the weather here. But if they don't bring it up, and make sure you have one!

If you haven't already, get started. You don't have to have it polished in a few days, but just start to check out Instagram, Youtube, our blogs and get thinking about what and what not to say.
If all else fails, great people like wedding speech coaches exist to help you out.

Summer Groom Tip # 1 🎩
To kick off our summer groom tips, where with give you, the groom, something you could do in the build up to your summer (or late summer) wedding.
And this one is apt with us being on the radio today with today...
You can choose what music you have played! And, maybe more importantly, don't have played!
The DJ will often ask you to supply some songs you definitely want, and definitely don't want. If they don't, give them a list anyway.
Here are my suggestions for do play:
- Peter Andre, Mysterious Girl.
- Rick Astley, Never Gunna Give you Up
Don't play:
- The Killers, Mr Brightside, obviously.
