PS: Christmas Special on 18th December!

Sadly, Simon was back on Hailsham FM this month with more of his "unique" taste in music. We hear from the next President of the USA, The Wurzels sing in German, and there is a "dance" record from a former ITN newsreader. Chris Waddle duets with a fellow footballer (and it's not Glenn Hoddle!). we h...

Oh dear - the diary note has just popped out (it's the one on red paper that says "Warning").

Regrettably, it's the third Wednesday of the month, which means the return of Simon Herbert's Interesting Tracks this evening at 8.00 pm.

We hear he has been busy rummaging through the darkest depths of the Hailsham FM record library, so brace yourself for 2 hours of terrible tunes and general silliness - or - better still - find something else to do!

Avoid listening at 95.9 FM, via www.hailshamfm.com or your smartspeaker.

Don't say we didn't warn you...

Regrettably, Simon Herbert's Interesting Tracks is continuing into it's second decade, and Simon unleashed another 2 hours of horrors for the October edition. We were all hoping that, after that 10th Anniversary "Special" last month, Simon would retire from Hailsham FM . We'd got a gold watch in and everything.

Regrettably, he seems to want to carry on into the show's second decade, and so we have to warn you not to tune in this evening (Wednesday 16th) from 8 pm, as he presents this month's edition of Simon Herbert's Interesting Tracks.

Expect 2 hours of audio atrocities, as he continues to scrape the barrel of his truly terrible record collection.

Music lovers: avoid listening at 95.9 FM, via www.hailshamfm.com, or your smartspeaker.

Simon (and no one else) celebrated the 10th anniversary of the first ever edition of Simon Herbert's Interesting Tracks - somehow still polluting the airwaves a decade later. We hear "classic" tracks from the first ever show - which haven't aged well. There is also an interview with the legend that....

10 years ago, for reasons no one can quite remember, Simon Herbert was allowed to present the first ever edition of Simon Herbert's Interesting Tracks on Hailsham FM (known as Hailsham Festival FM at the time).

Despite public demand, the show continues to be broadcast, and tonight (Wednesday), from 8 pm, Simon will be celebrating this anniversary (frankly no one else will) with a special anniversary show.

He will look back to some of the songs played on that debut show (they haven't improved with age), along with some other horrors.

There will be a chat with a genuine pop star - with a career spanning 25 years.

We will even hear from some singing sheep, thanks to The Lake District, Cumbria

We strongly recommend you find something else to do, and don't tune in at 95.9 FM, via www.hailshamfm.com or your smartspeaker. It will only encourage him.

On this day, exactly 10 years ago at 7 pm, something terrible happened on Hailsham FM (or Hailsham Festival FM as it was then known) for the first time.

Somehow 10 years later it is still happening on a monthly basis.

We can only apologise.

Happy 10th birthday Simon Herbert's Interesting Tracks...

Yes, somehow, Simon has been allowed to get away with polluting the Hailsham FM airwaves with his musical detritus for a decade!

We need to warn you that he is planning a special show to "celebrate" this horrendous anniversary on Weds September 18th at 8 pm - we strongly recommend you find something else to do.

As well as all the usual audio horrors, and a look back to songs played on that horrific first show, we will hear from some "Baarmy Sheep" - thanks to a track supplied by The Lake District, Cumbria

Please tell me he isn't planning a 24 hour broadcast like Wayne Spicer Radio Show - surely Ofcom wouldn't allow that?

Make sure you avoid listening at 95.9 FM, via www.hailshamfm.com, or your smartspeaker.

Happy birthday! Simon Herbert's Interesting Tracks is 10 years old this month!

How on earth has he been allowed to pollute the airwaves on Hailsham FM for so long?

This month's show (Weds September 18th at 8 pm) will be a celebration of 10 years of Simon Herbert's Interesting Tracks (as if anyone would want to celebrate this horrendous milestone...) featuring tracks played on the first ever show (they haven't improved with age). There will also be a chat with a genuine pop star - with a chart career spanning 25 years.

Don't say we didn't give you plenty of advance warning...

We regret to inform Hailsham FM listeners that today is the 3rd Wednesday of the month. Therefore, we need to advise you to switch your radios off between 8 and 10 pm this evening, as Simon will be back with this month's edition of Simon Herbert's Interesting Tracks

Are you sure it's not that nice Giles chap with "Sunglasses After Dark"? No? Elise with hip hop and R'n'B? No? Oh flip.

He is bound to dredge up some horrors from the basement. I mean, did you hear some of the stuff he played last month? Actually, I rather hope you didn't.

Make sure you avoid listening via 95.9 FM, www.hailshamfm.com, or your smartspeaker. Don't say we didn't warn you.

Oh heck - is he on again tonight? He is? Oh for goodness sake...

In that case, it's that time of the month (third Wednesday) when we have to warn you not to tune in to Hailsham FM between 8 and 10 pm, as they will, regrettably, be broadcasting this month's edition of Simon Herbert's Interesting Tracks

Are you sure we couldn't get him banned after that Election Special? No? It was worth a try.

Brace yourself for two hours of audio atrocities from the Hailsham FM basement.

Fed up with politics? Glad the General Election is over?

Be careful what you wish for, because, as the polls closed on July 4th, Simon Herbert appeared on Hailsham FM with an Election "Special" edition of Simon Herbert's Interesting Tracks.

https://www.mixcloud.com/HailshamFM/simon-herberts-interesting-tracks-election-special-4th-july-2024/

Brace yourself for songs by/for/against a range of political parties - there are even some recordings by famous politicians (not always with their official approval...).

Featuring tracks for, against, (or possibly both) The Official Monster Raving Loony Party The Labour Party Conservatives Liberal Democrats Reform UK Scottish National Party (SNP) UK Independence Party, songs by or about Neil Hamilton, Jeremy Corbyn Ken Livingstone Nick Clegg Rishi Sunak Keir Starmer Liz Truss Norman Baker and songs by The Poke The Flying Pickets Spitting Image Watt Nicoll Tobisonics Newtown Neurotics kunt and the gang

Just be thankful there won't be another one of these for 5 years. Shall we lobby our new Government to outlaw the programme?

Whatever your political views - and whoever you will be voting for on 4th July, there is one key issue on which the whole country can unite.

Simon Herbert's Interesting Tracks should not be allowed to broadcast on any radio station.

We have scoured all the party manifestos, and sadly, none of the candidates have pledged to outlaw the show, which unfortunately means that Simon will be back for an Election Special on Hailsham FM - as the polls close at 10.00 pm on Thursday 4th July.

He is promising songs from across the political spectrum - and even some songs recorded by politicians!
