We have just got back from a beautiful (and exhausting!) little family week away 🍃
Although there is no ‘annual leave’ in self employed life, a break with minimal work has been a lovely refresh.
A weekend of catching up with admin, including accounts, emails, social scheduling and signing a new contract 🎉

Our little businesses & have come together for many years now to host Bridal Shows across North West. We’ve been on the biggest journey together; we’ve laughed, cried, stressed, danced, voicenoted more times than you can ever imagine and brought our lives totally together in the dedication and genuine love we give to our shows and suppliers.
Six children, five dogs, five homes, one marriage and one engagement later, we have FINALLY officially created a brand sparkling new partnership business; The Wedding Show Limited.
… and taken on the biggest venue yet!
We hate to love each other, but couldn’t be on this journey with anyone else ✨

After heading back from this morning’s meetings, today has been an admin day… and still continuing!
Being a business boss means spinning (many) plates ✨
Small businesses not only deliver the services they offer or product they sell, they also keep present online, network, communicate, photograph, invoice, evaluate, submit tax returns… and everything inbetween!

Tuesdays are anything but my day off, infact I’d say they’re my most intense, patience filled, back aching, multitasking, day planning, time keeping, juggling act days… qualities all completely transferable to my working days!
Never underestimate a business-growing Mother’s superpowers, when they have these as their reason 🌈

Today we were representing Puddle Ducks at raising funds for The Countess Charity✨
The sun was shining, the crowds were out and the ducks (after keeping us waiting whilst they paddled) raced super well 🐥

My day “out of office” with the two minis…
It’s harder than any event I plan or manage. It doesn’t require qualifications or training to begin. Experience is all learnt on the job, it pays in cuddles (between meltdowns), has unsociable hours, doesn’t come with a lunch break, and feels like 10 back to back intense zoom meetings all in one!

The sun came out, the venue looked amazing, the suppliers were all incredible and so many brides and grooms to be joined us to start 2022 with the biggest of bangs 💥

It’s about time to say hello again; a new year and a new personal introduction…
I’m Lindsey, the owner of, and event creator at Rainbow Grey Events. I chose to freelance event manage after having our rainbow baby Toby, the big leap was all for him.
After restrictions eased and events were slowly taking place again, we worked so hard with some wonderful venues and clients to bring back what we all so needed 🙌🏻
Now moving into 2022, RGE will be building and growing not only for Toby, but for our newest little rainbow Jesse too 🌈

Rainbow Grey works as freelance event management and project planning service for venues, clients and one off events. We absolutely love to build a relationship with everyone we work with, to plan, prepare and deliver the most perfect event bespoke for them.

It’s been quiet on socials but behind the scenes…
Ten little toes joined us in November, our second rainbow bab 🌈🌈
He’s doing wonderfully as our youngest apprentice, currently learning the ropes and will be setting up events as soon as he finds his feet 👣

Our little rainbow turned TWO with his digger and Rubble obsessions creating the perfect celebration for him!
The most enormous thank you to Vikki Jane Sweeney for all the hard work in creating the most insane construction backdrop we have EVER seen. I mean, her work is always amazing - but (biased opinion) this just totally went over and above everything we’ve seen - completely blew us away! How incredible does it look?! All the little details were a-maz-ing - and the balloons were never ending… Our personal fav part had to be the personalised sign ✨
As much I’d as love to never see a palette again, the little people’s table look super wonderful coming down the centre of the room, and the lunches provided by the Floral Pavilion were wonderful, as was the room and help organising - thank you so much!

After the crazy post-lockdown events time, I’ve taken some time with this little rainbow, before the Christmas countdown begins!
I find balancing self employment and family time can become really difficult at times, so enjoying “pum” moments like this seem pretty perfect 🎃

Our charity partner Elsie's Moon will be lighting up the Floral Pavilion Newbrighton pink and blue with the amazing support of Stage UK in support of Baby Loss Awareness Week 9th - 15th October.
We’ll be meeting in the Floral Pavilion Panoramic Lounge at 6pm. There will be teas and coffees available and even a hot snack!
Weather permitting we’ll have a walk around the Marine Lake approx 6:30pm. All welcome, parents, siblings, friends and well behaved dogs!
We’d love to see you there, to remember, to raise awareness and drive change 🤍

Everyone always remembers the food at an event so make sure it’s worth remembering! When catering for a large event it’s important to ensure consistent high standards for every plate.
Just look at this perfection from Rob at Wirral Gourmet they were the best team at the Eastham Pavilion Sportsman’s Lunch. We can’t wait to work with them again!
