From Clubs & Festivals to Next-Level Weddings!

Before I started filling wedding dance floors, I spent years DJing in some of Scotland’s most iconic clubs—Sub Club, La Cheetah, The Arches, Snafu, Sneaky Pete’s—as well as Berlin institutions like Berghain’s Panorama Bar and Klunkerkranich. Festivals? Been there too—TRNSMT, Riverside, and Cultivate, to name a few.

As one half of All Night Passion, I still host regular nights at The Tunnels in Aberdeen and run a monthly show on Berlin-based Refuge Worldwide, keeping my selections fresh and my mixing sharp.

Now, I bring that experience, energy, and seamless mixing to weddings. No cliché, no cheese—just a perfectly curated soundtrack designed to keep you and your guests moving all night.

“We wanted to use a DJ for our wedding as everyone else seems to be using bands at the minute and we wanted something a little different. After doing a bit of research we came across Mark at Anti Wedding Wedding DJs... WOW! He was exactly what we were looking for, cool, calm and very organised. He offered a full day package which was exactly what we needed as we were getting married in a marquee on a farm. He was able to provide us with microphones for the ceremony, then music for the canapé, then microphones for the speeches, and then finally providing a second to none atmosphere on the dance floor for the reception. After the first dance, the dance floor was packed all night giving us the party that we really wanted. The beauty of having a dj over a band, was that there was no break time or down time for 45 minutes to an hour for the band. He was also able to sample different types of music to see which worked and then venture down that route rather than only playing certain songs. Mark was a pleasure to work with and was stress free. He made our special day even more special and unique with so many people telling us it's the best wedding they've ever been to. I could not recommend Mark any more. He's a master at his job and we are so relieved that we were able to tie him down for our wedding."

“Want to say a HUGE thank you to Mark for providing us and our guests with a night filled with dancing and good times a couple of weeks ago at Broxmouth Courtyard. From the moment we contacted him we knew he would be the ideal DJ for us. We were totally undecided what to do for our entertainment and he was more than happy to work alongside our band to provide what we thought was the perfect mix for our guests. We have had so many people comment on how great the music was and that they just didn’t want to leave the dance floor at any point! We provided him with a playlist of our favourite songs and he did the rest - all of our faves and lots of ones he had chosen that we loved. Marks communication was spot on from the initial enquiry, replying promptly and answering all the questions we had. Thank you so much pal!!”

From basing his set off our own Spotify to understand the kind of music we liked and taking guest requests on the night due to our intimate numbers. “We booked Mark for our wedding on the 18th November and couldn’t be happier with the service he provided. We knew from the sample playlists we’d click and he’d have the range to get some of our more alternative fave tracks (Linkin Park, Blink 182, Sum41) in with Taylor Swift, Charli xcx and ABBA. The set was perfect on the night along with the microphones for the speeches which made everything a breeze. The prodigy megamix was a highlight too as well as the great sound for our meal entrance. Lights were fantastic and the room looked great. Mark was absolutely lovely to deal with so friendly and easy to correspond with in the lead up and on the day! Would recommend to anyone and already have friends who have booked him for their wedding!!”

Although I’ve still got half a dozen weddings, a few corporates and some club events left this year, I am now well and truly on the decent.

I’ve not had a gig free weekend since March 🤯 so logging off for the weekend and heading to Edinburgh with the family. 🍹🌮

I’ll be replying to email until early evening tomorrow then singing out until Monday evening. 👋🏻

Mark is absolutely amazing at what he does, we have had many compliments on the overall music and vibe of our evening reception which is just what we wanted. “Mark provided a first class service on our big day. By having discussions with Mark in the lead up to the wedding, and sharing our Spotify playlists, he was able to create sets for our ceremony, drinks reception and evening party which were truly personalised and matched the vibe of the occasion perfectly throughout the day. On the day of the wedding, Mark was in control from the moment he arrived. All his quality equipment was set up proficiently and he was extremely well organised, which put us at ease. Mark went above and beyond, also ensuring that hotel’s tech was fully operational, when it was not in his remit to do so. He did so with a smile on his face and you can tell that he really loves what he does. Many of our guests commented on the music throughout the day. Mark created a real party atmosphere and the dancefloor was never empty. After the wedding, Mark sent a recording of the whole set, which also became the soundtrack to our honeymoon. It was a thoughtful way to allow us to relive the day. We also had the audio guest book, which allowed our nearest and dearest to leave us a message. It was so much fun listening to these, and we would highly recommend adding this option. Thank you Mark for providing the perfect soundtrack and meeting the vibe check for our wedding day! “We were lucky to have Mark in charge of the tunes for the whole our wedding day - reception drinks, walking up the aisle, first dance and of course, the evening party, and every moment of it was perfect. The dancefloor was full all night and could’ve went on till the early hours (if we were allowed). We’ve not stopped hearing from friends and family who want to know who our DJ was because the playlist was so good! Mark helped put our mind at ease during the wedding planning process by liasing with our venue and arranging all the PA stuff for speeches, which was a big relief and was always available had we any questions or last minute changes to any planned music. “Cannot recommend Mark at AWWDJs enough. We both love music but didn’t want the usual cheesy sets. We created various playlists in the months running up to the wedding and Mark used them to create mixes for the big day - which he shared with us afterwards! He did our ceremony music, cocktail hour and reception. Mark was exactly what we were after: Great mixes with tunes that catered for everyone, easy communication ahead of the wedding and absolutely zero stress on the wedding day itself.
