We are delighted that Warwick Institute of Engagement are bringing their new 'Culture Cycle' to the district this weekend!

It's a participatory artwork that highlights the region’s history of cycling, stained-glass windows and innovative manufacturing.

Travelling by bicycle, the team will be bringing an interactive, mobile workshop collecting contributions from people in the community.

Participants will be asked to design and create their own ‘stained glass’ panel in relation to their culture and what it means to them.

This is a FREE, drop-in workshop with no need to book.

The final collection will continue to tour the region before finding a final exhibition space.

Culture Cycle is taking place:

10am - 4pm, Saturday 6 August at St Nicholas Park, Warwick (by the children's playground)

10am - 4pm, Sunday 7 August, Leamington Festival Site, Pump Room Gardens

Leamington Spa Art Gallery & Museum's new show, ‘Modern Pre-Raphaelite Visionaries’, offers you the chance to rediscover a host of ‘forgotten’ British artists working at the turn of the twentieth century. Artists include Frederick Cayley Robinson, Evelyn Pickering De Morgan and Charles Ricketts. These artists sought to understand their place in the changing modern world by re-examining the nostalgic and romantic art of the Pre-Raphaelite Brotherhood. The exhibition is a rare opportunity to see the Gallery’s important collection of Modern Pre-Raphaelite artwork in the context of significant loans from around the country including works from Tate, the British Museum, the Fitzwilliam Museum, Manchester Art Gallery and many more.
