My name is Paul Roberts, I'm 34 years of age, happily married to the most beautiful person in the world & father to two beautiful boys. You'd think so but to be honest having two so close together was what we always wanted and we are now enjoying the benefits of having two children similar ages. I planned & organised my own wedding from start to finish. I was lucky enough to get married on the bea
utiful island of Tenerife. Organising my own wedding, I believe, has made what I do even more unique. I understand the stresses of planning a wedding, I know how much all the little details matter & I know how important this day is for you. From booking the venue, flower arrangements, the food menu, entertainment, PA systems .... the list goes on. Organising my own wedding has given me the experience to really understand & perfect what I do.
How did I become a wedding host & DJ? At the age of 18 I started working in the hospitality industry. My father owned a 2000 capacity nightclub. This is when my love for events & nightlife began. Whilst working as a trainee manager, I would spend all of my spare time working with the resident DJ's. This is were I quickly developed my DJ skills. I picked up a microphone for the first time and it was like I had always used one. From this moment I realised the entertainment industry was for me. I soon decided to switch career paths and become a full time DJ. I quickly picked up regular weekend work across the UK. It was a short while after when I accepted a full time DJ residency in Tenerife's biggest super club. I spent 3 years on the island performing 6 nights a week to crowds of up to 2000 people. Since returning to the UK in 2013 I went back to working with my father running very busy restaurants & nightclubs. I had plans to take over the family business and for a while thought that was for me. However, whilst running these businesses and hosting various events such as catering events, late night entertainment, dinner shows, private functions and so much more, I always ended up behind the DJ booth or taking over the microphone, I couldn't keep away! Ive worked directly with universities hosting student events, opened shows for celebrity artists such as Charlie Sloth, Yungen, S Club 7, Dappy and many more. Hosted meet & greets with tv stars such as Phil Mitchell, Mark Labbett from ITV's The Chase & various other tv stars. It was only a matter of time before I decided to follow my dream and go my own way & venture into the wedding industry. It was one of the biggest decisions I've ever made, letting go of a secure income but it's turned out to be one of the best decisions I've ever made.
I'm so passionate about what I do, & I love putting on a show. I'm kind, a big romantic at heart ( so I probably will cry several times throughout your day ) & a very genuine person.
