My university assignments have unexpectedly transpired into a revealing journey through the heart of my community. As you peel back the layers, you uncover the vibrant pulse that defines our unique neighborhood.I've had the privilege of engaging with incredible initiatives like Curry on The Street Pendle Plant Craft and Little Savoy Community Cinema Just to name a few. These projects are more than just activities; they are passions fueled by the selfless dedication of amazing individuals who pour their hearts into what they love. And the best part? It's the lively conversations with locals, sharing their stories and interests. One such inspiring local is the delightful Ian Robinson, who is featured in this video during the local election count. I first crossed paths with Ian at Pendle Plant Craft, captivated by his distinctive, photogenic presence. We seem to meet by chance frequently, and through our conversations, I discovered we shared a common bond, a past in the same British army regiment. Our community may be small, but it's rich with opportunities to connect and learn. This is a short documentary I made about The Little Savoy Community Cinema for my university assignment last year. There is some minor 'Schoolboy Errors' in the filming and editing but thankfully I have honed my filmmaking skills since. All in all I'm very pleased with end result: which also gave me some excellent grades. Extended thanks to Andrew Reed who gave me support and more importantly his time in during the making of this film. Andrew is a dedicated, hard-working person that gives everything to make the Little Savoy the success that it is. The Little Savoy is a wonderful community cinema to visit. Brimming with a warm nostalgic welcome to anyone that drops in. A marvellous, none profit, community project to be proud of.
