Hello everyone, long time no speak.

And that's because it's all been a wee bit mad hasn't it ... to say the very least.

Anyway, I thought I would take this opportunity to tell you all a few things you might need to know.

Things have changed, a lot, and over the last couple of years whilst not shooting weddings I started a new business with my lovely wife (see here - https://www.theblackmorevale.co.uk/ ) and things have gone a bit crazy busy mad .. in a good way I might add.

And so that brings me to the next thing I need to say ...

Pre Pandemic, I was starting to slow down a bit with an eye to retiring from weddings in a few years time. However as all things changed so quickly, I have taken the decision to speed up this process somewhat.
I have weddings booked in for this year that of course I will still do and am very much looking forward to covering all of them.

But ... that's it.

After this year has passed, I will not be doing anymore, and I shall put my wedding hat firmly away in a big deep dark box and finally say that I am retired .. well from photographing weddings.

So, I am not taking anymore bookings (I have enough for this year), this is really it.

I just wanted to say a HUGE THANK YOU, to you all. My lovely couples, my FB fans, my colleagues in the wedding industry and of course my wonderful family for the neverending support... the last 25 years has been a real blast and I have loved every minute of it, it will stay with me for the rest of my life.

I am honoured to have been part of so many of your most special moments and to have been allowed to capture and create your memories. I hope they will continue to give you a lifetime of joy and become heirlooms for future generations.

And that really is it, nothing left to say.

I bid you a fond farewell, do stay in touch, always lovely to hear from you.

A very sad farewell to my friend today Jamie Wonnacott, who was laid to rest just this afternoon after finally succumbing to cancer.

At just 44 yrs of age he leaves a wife of not quite 5 yrs and a lovely little boy of just over 2 yrs.

We shared many good laughs whenever we met up and often worked alongside each other covering weddings, me on my camera shooting stills, he on his shooting video.

Some of you may remember him from working alongside me (his company back then was Entwined Films, latterly New Vision Media), some having hired him to video your wedding, some like me working with and along side him in the wedding world.

He was always great fun, forever cheerfully optimistic and a hopeless romantic, and I couldn't of been happier for him when he finally found the love of his life and married. Funnily enough it's one of the only weddings I have been to over the years that I wasn't actually working at!

Jamie, I'm going to miss you my friend. I know you are at peace and without pain now, but somehow that doesn't make it any easier to say goodbye. Rest in Peace my friend x

Today I photographed a wedding!

I never thought that would be a strange thing to say, especially out loud! But it kind of is, .... a bit weird, surreal almost but also it felt great! Really, really good to be back doing what I love to do 😊
