Massive congratulations to Jordan & Becky as well as Dave & Gemma on their special days, was a privilege to be a part of them!

So recently I've been thinking about why I do what I do and thought I would jot a few thoughts down about parties and the hard work that goes into them.

Sadly in the entertainment industry often things can boil down to money. DJ's can take bookings and flake at the last minute for better paying gigs. It may sound like I'm trying to convince, but that is very much NOT the case for me.

If you book me as your DJ for your event that is a solid steel lock. It's a professional agreement that I will attend your event:

- ON TIME/EARLY

- WILL PROVIDE A FANTASTIC ATMOSPHERE TAILORED TO YOUR TASTES (YES THIS INCLUDES REQUESTS!)

- I DO NOT CHARGE FOR TRAVEL, TIME SPENT SETTING UP OR PACKING DOWN

- THE PRICE AGREED IS THE PRICE YOU PAY

These sound like simple things, but you'd be surprised at how often integrity is broken and people forget who the important people are and that is YOU, the customer.

So take this as my John Wayne solid gold word that should you book DJ Rik and the Wheels of Steel you are getting a highly professional, knowledgeable and above all friendly service and we will ALWAYS go out of our way to give you the best event possible 😊

We are at Coney Hill RFC for Festival on the Field all day today, we have an awesome set planned as well as live music from Riccardo, Michael Shaffer, The Revolvers and many others so come see us from 2pm till midnight for some banging tunes and smooth summer grooves!

Sad news this evening about The Club @ Tuffley Park closing down. Running venues and entertainment is an incredibly tough business but a very rewarding one, Gloucester is built on the community and good times provided by these businesses. I've always held the belief that customers should always leave with a smile on their face regardless of how difficult that is to achieve but again that's often much harder than people think. This is not a time to poach business but as I've always done in the past, I feel an obligation to help, so will be offering a significant discount on discos and entertainment to anyone caught up in a tough situation. Wishing you all the very best and lets hope The Club remains the fantastic public space that it always has been❤️

FULL CIRCLE!

It's nights like tonight that remind me why I love doing what I do. All the 2am finishes, ringing ears, sore backs from lugging all my kit...seeing good, kind people smiling, dancing and enjoying themselves to the music you play just makes it all worth it.

I started DJing for friends and family parties a few years back. At one of these gigs the lovely Sarah was the first person to formally book me as a professional. She and her family have since become regular customers and friends and tonight I played Sarah's brilliant 50th birthday party. I've never seen a warmer, more fun loving group of people. All dancing, all hugging and singing, just a lovely atmosphere.

It's always a pleasure to help you guys put on fantastic parties and I genuinely appreciate all of my customers, it really is a privilege to play for you!
