The most laid-back couple I’ve ever met 💛

From the moment Saskia arrived at White Syke Fields — greeting guests with the biggest smile, wearing a comfy jumpsuit and flip flops — we knew this wasn’t going to be a “traditional” kind of wedding. It was going to be their kind of wedding.

They got ready together that morning, side by side, because that’s what felt right for them. No rules, no pressure — just love, laughter and time with their favourite people.

Jacob’s best woman was amazing, and Saskia’s brother stood proudly as her best man — the perfect reflection of how deeply they value family and friendship. Every moment of the day overflowed with warmth, joy, and connection.

At White Syke Fields, we’re all about weddings like this — for couples who want to do things differently, who want a day that feels like them, and who care most about everyone having the best time.

Ellyn & Mike planned their day from afar — with a few venue visits from his mum and auntie while they were living away and travelling — and somehow pulled together the most relaxed, joy-filled celebration in under a year.

As a do-it-yourself venue, couples have the freedom to choose every detail — their own suppliers, styling, and setup — but we’re here every step of the way to help it all come together. From supplier recommendations to planning chats, site visits and last-minute tweaks, it’s all part of the journey.

Mike and Ellen juggled house moves, travel plans and wedding prep like pros, creating a day that was completely their own — full of warmth, laughter, and one very busy dance floor.

Captured by .weddings , who was an absolute joy to have around on the day — fun, relaxed, and so easy to work with. We’ve loved reliving every moment through his photos.

We’re absolutely over the moon — and it’s all thanks to our amazing couples who took the time to vote and support us. Your love truly helps a small business like ours grow, and we couldn’t be more grateful.

Every wedding at White Syke Fields is personal, and completely unique — because every couple is. We put everything we have into making each day unforgettable, and it means the world to know that shines through.

We might be a small team — Charlotte, Steph, and Jon, with our brilliant bar crew — but we’re a passionate one. From barn renovations to planning, coordination and behind-the-scenes magic, everything we do comes from the heart.

Wedding & Event Space Yorkshire

Nestled in part of Buttercrambe’s ancient Saxon woodland, White Syke Fields boasts two beautiful barns to choose from, Exclusively Yours for the day.

For smaller gatherings, workshops & events head to The Piggery with wonderful wooden beams & sliding doors, or for much larger shindigs head to The Wheelhouse with industrial girders, exposed brick and oodles of space to create the perfect party!

or you could of course hire the two together!

White Syke Fields is surrounded by beautiful woodlands, a lake and Yorkshire fields making it a picture perfect backdrop!
