🌿Come with us to Nanny For a wedding at Rudding Park Hotel 🌿

🌿A beautiful venue, a glorious day and a fantastic couple celebrating their special day- Congratulations Bethany and Robert!

🌿Despite our Bride and Groom not having children themselves, they had a good party of children attending their wedding- so they chose our 'playroom option' and we taylor-made their day according to what they wanted which was having the safe, happy and looked after but not present during the ceromany and the speeches.

🌿We had a secure room at the venue and used a sign in and out sheet for the parents to fill in when dropping off the children.

🌿We had lots of different areas set up, some of those were ;
- Teepee tent with books,
- Dolly's, clothes and pushchairs
- train tracks
-cars with carmats
-baby area with suitable toys
-balloon
-happyland set up
-figures such as Ben and holly and paw patrol,
-musical area,
-crafts, drawing and stickers,
-games such as connect 4 and donutters.

🌿The children were entertained for hours, we added in games too such as 'keepy-uppy' with balloons, peep behind the curtain, duck duck goose, Chinese whispers and musical statues.

🌿The children joined the wedding party for food and for dancing and had felt though they had been a part of the day but also had so much fun with us too!

For a wedding at
"Crab and Lobster Manor" in Asenby!
What a beautiful venue and gorgeous weather for our absolutely stunning couple-
Congratulations Laura and Robin! 👰🏻‍♀️🤵🏻

🌿Our couple chose a nanny to integrate with the ceremony and chose not to have a creche room set up separately as there was only 2 children for the bride and groom and 2 neices and chose to book our babysitting service too.

🌿Our Nanny arrived at 12 o clock midday and looked after the Bride and Grooms two children while the bride got ready in peace with her bridal party and the groom welcomed the guests. This was done in a separate room to play and chill out. The children were relaxed and quickly bonded with our nanny and trusted her due to an earlier meet that week over video call.

🌿At 1 o Clock our Nanny gave the children some food and a drink as the wedding breakfast wasn't until 5pm and the children would have been extremely hungry by then.

🌿At 2 o clock, our nanny got the children ready in their beautiful outfits, toileted them/changed nappes and did their hair and made sure they were all smart and prepared in good time for the Isle walk.

🌿At 3 o clock, the children went to walk down the Isle with the breathtaking bride and our nanny looked after a 6 month old baby who was a neice of the couple, she had a bottle of milk and slept in her pram through the ceremony. The couples youngest child did not want to be in the wedding and had a last minute change of heart so also came to enjoy the gardens in the sun with the nanny instead, meaning he was much happier without the pressure of having to sit still and listen when all he wanted to do is play. Having a nanny there meant no guests had to miss the ceromany due to watching over their child.

🌿At 4 o clock our nanny assisted the children at the family photos. Making sure they are happy, looking smart and all taking part. They played lawn games, bought toys outside and sang songs together.

🌿At 5 o clock our nanny sat with the wedding party to eat wedding breakfast with the children on the same table. She made sure they had enough to eat and drink throughout the day and they were happy, having a great time and enjoying their day.

🌿At 6 o clock, our nanny got the two oldest children changed into something a little bit more casual so they could enjoy dancing.

🌿At 7 o clock our nanny took the youngest child to bed, read lots of stories and chatted about his day. He settled quickly and happily. He had built up a lovely bond with our nanny and was so tired he slept beautifully.

🌿At 8 o clock the older child was bought to the room after the first dance as he was getting tired now too. The nanny popped him in his pjs and read books to him. He also settled quickly and was full of stories of the day.

🌿Throughout that evening, the nanny stayed in the same room as the children ensuring their safety at all times.

🌿At midnight our nanny was able to leave due to a grandparent coming back to the room. The children were still sound asleep and happy ready to enjoy the rest of their weekend... Not one guest missed out on a fantastic day and all the children have also had a brilliant day celebrating!

🌿Here at YORK WEDDING NANNIES, We are quite often asked the question on how we started up and why, so we thought it would be nice to answer. 🌿
✨️We are both mummies to 3 children each, come from a childcare background and we are both married- so trust us when we say we've been there! We understand.
These are one of our Nannies wedding photos from 6 years ago. Her little boy was only 2 years old, the most boisterous little guy with the biggest personality and the shortest concentration spell going. All he wanted on his parents big day was his Mumma. They spent the night away from her before hand so the first time he'd seen her was coming down the Isle, he'd missed a nap due to travelling to church, he was so overwhelmed with the change, it was lunch time and of course more than anything the most natural thing is all he wanted was a cuddle! Mum struggled to balance wedding day/motherhood and spent most of her day with toddler on hip (muddy shoes on dress and juice cup in tow!)
We know here at YWN's that he needed 1 on 1 time, food, probably a nap and to chase around some bubbles outside he would be happier knowing where mum was but also to put your children first, you need to ensure their happiness over yours without asking a family member/friend to step in and miss parts of your special day.

“Can’t thank Jenny & Sophie enough for watching over and entertaining the children at our wedding!

We had 9 small children including our own 2 and both ladies just made their day flow with care and entertainment. The children loved spending time with them and always had a huge smile on their faces whenever we saw them which was so reassuring. They did bug hunting, giant bubbles, kept their drinks topped up, helped get their food, got our little boy settled & ready for bed with pjs on & a bed time story and ASLEEP! (Amazing haha!)

The girls were just wonderful, so kind, bubbly and just overall amazing, all our guests commented on how lovely they were and said what a fantastic idea to have at a wedding (as we all know it can be a super long boring day for kids!)
