The evening will be hosted by London’s undeniably talented and multi-faceted drag queen Barbs and will include vibrant performances from Toya Delazy, Geo Jordan, and Benjamin Yellowitz.

Closing the show is the captivating Toya Delazy. Toya Delazy is a singer, rapper, pianist, dancer, and producer. She’s as multi-hyphenate as they come and a natural innovator to boot. Breaking sonic barriers as the creator of AfroRave, a genre bringing together Zulu verses with drum and bass, the London-based musician is celebrating the lyricism of her native tongue— a tonal language that features click consonants — and delivering high-energy dance-floor fillers.

In a recent collaboration with Billboard and Q***r Capita, Luminate has published its first report in a new series that spotlights underrepresented communities. It aims to shine a light on the influence, success, and importance of the q***r community within the music industry; as artists, fans, and professionals. ✨

The Power of LGBTQ+ Music report amplifies q***r voices, illuminates intersectionality, and understands our power as q***r people. Through visibility and representation, the LGBTQ+ community will continue progressing toward total equity.

We aim that Sounds Q***r leads the charge in doing just that, standing firm as the joyous home of q***r live music. This year we are expanding our reach, connecting with new audiences, and shaping the landscape of q***r live music both within the UK and globally. 🧡

So, what is Sounds Q***r all about? ✨

Sounds Q***r is a platform run by q***r music creators for q***r music lovers. We and our Sounds Q***r allies have created a platform to showcase the best emerging q***r live music acts.

In turn, providing a safe space for both audience and artists alike to connect and flourish in an immersive, comfortable, and joyous setting. 💙

Despite London being a cultural hub for both music and the q***r community, there are very few live music events or spaces whose sole priority is to provide a platform for LGBTQ+ artists or to cater specifically to the needs of our community.

Enter, Sounds Q***r.

We aim to bridge the gap between q***r live music and nightlife, spanning genre, expression, and identity. Championing diverse voices and illuminating every part of our community.

We want you to be all you are and all you dream of being, and a Sounds Q***r event, that is precisely what you’re meant to do.

We have a stacked lineup of incredibleeee q***r artists.

🔅 Kali GLD is a poet, rapper and producer. Healing her way through her music journey. Her music and poetry are introspective, exploring topics such as mental health, interpersonal relationships and self-discovery.

🔅 Declared a genre-fluid studio gremlin, Kerensa has a sound that will remind you of music's purpose. Shifting seamlessly from dark and brooding to upbeat and satirical in what can only be described as a unique vocal delivery, her music kicks back against the status quo. Unafraid to write about challenging topics, you will find it hard not to connect with an artist that shows you such honesty.

🔅 Grammy-nominated, Canadian, UK-based artist, producer and songwriter Laura Roy blends her love for classic 70’s folk and 90’s r&b vocals to create a unique soulful sound. For her 2021 “Tides EP” Laura worked alongside Grammy Nominated artist , and multi-instrumentalist, producer and an SQ family favourite to create a 6-track EP as an ode to Laura’s unique upbringing in rural Nova Scotia, Canada.

Laura recently gained recognition as a songwriter on ’s 2021 “Planet Her” Album for contributions to “Alone” which has gained her two Grammy nominations as a songwriter. She has also worked for pop heavy hitters Camila Cabello, Anne Marie, UK based artists Jordan Rakei, Mae Muller is a notable collaborator on Tru Thought’s artist Hemai “Relight” and British R&B artist J Warner’s “Low Love”.

Laura’s most recent 2023 release “Breathe” has received support from CBC/BBC radio as well as being featured on Niche Music Japan and placements on multiple Spotify Editorial playlists.

We are so so excited to be teaming up with Sofar Sounds again to bring our live music q***r safe space to Sofar’s unique and intimate shows.

BUT...we're not resting on our laurels and this weekend Sounds Q***r is going ON THE ROAD again all the way to celebrate Pride with our q***r siblings !
