We have some exciting acts lined up for our 2024 Shakedowns! First up are Human Toys - describing themselves as: Sexy, Powerful, Subversive. Human Toys is a punk rock duo : Poupée (vocals, theremin), Jon von (guitar)! They are heading over from Paris for a short UK tour and we are delighted to host them for your deranged listening pleasure. Support comes from the excellent angular noise makers Goo. Expect the usual frenzied Shakedown experience, special guest DJs, prizes (human toys perhaps?), dancing, screaming, stomping and FUN! Ticket link to follow!!!

Well - that was a shakedown and a half. A massive thanks to everybody for turning out in style and for shakin!

Howdy Shakers. The ticket link is now closed - a massive thanks to all who have purchased upfront tickets, it really does help knowing that we can cover room hire and look after the groups properly!! Your support means a lot.
If you didn't purchase a ticket you can still pay on the door. The action starts from 8pm - with Paul from the other side of the Pennines playing some discs to get folks in the mood!!!

On Monday I visited a very interesting night c/o Bradford Music Scene - a host of people talking about promoting, playing, venues etc in the Bradford region. I even got a professional photo done, and it was a good excuse to shamelessly promote our next Saltaire Shakedown No9 event!!! Thanks to BMS for organising the event - which is all part of Bradford Music Month!

Dear Shakers/Deer Stalkers, just a little over 6 weeks to go to No.9, this will be our last Shakedown of 2023, so let's go out with a wallop not a whimper!

Anyone travelling from afar here are some hotels close by, both offer breakfast:
Ibis Hotel - Salts Mill Road, Shipley, BD18 3ST (about 5mins walk)

Abbey Lodge Hotel - 62 Kirkgate, Shipley, BD18 3EL (about 10mins walk)

Please note the venue is now at Shipley & District Social Club - 70 Saltaire Road, Shipley, BD18 3HN. This is close to both Shipley & Saltaire train stations, last trains are usually just after 11pm, please check before travelling.
