(Unpopular) Opinion Alert ‼️

Who decided that canapés have to be savoury? Don’t get us wrong, we have some incredibly delicious savoury canapés to offer (chipolatas ) and are in the process of taste testing some new ones whilst we write this.

BUT. If you’ve got a sweet tooth, why can’t you offer something sweet to your guests too? Zesty lemon meringue tartlets a little bit of you? How about a pistachio macaron to nibble on with your welcome glass of fizz?

Your Wedding Day is supposed to be all about the two of you. So choose what you want, eat what you want to eat. Don’t worry, we’ve got you covered here at AKO 🍫

As far as views go, it doesn’t get much better than this 🙏🏼

We were blown away by Came House when we arrived to provide a Seven-Course Tasting Menu for lovely guests staying in the Courtyard House. The sun was shining as we made our way up the drive, and setting over the courtyard just as we prepared to serve the first of the dishes.. sublime 💛

An understated favourite of O’s.

With the sweetness of our homemade sticky teriyaki sauce, a little kick from the fresh chilli, and the delicate crunch of the cauliflower.. I’m afraid there’s never any portions of this going spare! 😋

Sticky teriyaki and Dorset honey glazed goodness with silky smooth carrot purée, the crunch of tenderstem broccoli, a sprinkling of pomegranate seeds, sumac yoghurt and a drizzle of homemade basil oil. And that was just one of our dishes!

We are extremely proud to announce the launch of our very first website! Since AKO was formed we have been working nonstop both out front and behind the scenes to make AKO the best it can be. We have grown more than we could have imagined and felt that the time was right to with a website.

We enlisted our confidence in the team at E-Direct in Bournemouth / Dubai and have truly been blown away by their creation. Managed predominantly by Matt and Max, they took great care to make every step as well-managed for us as possible. To say that they smashed the brief is an understatement!

We are extremely proud of everything we have achieved so far, and to see it visually showcased on a website is a quite a wholesome feeling. But don’t just take our word for it, please do go and check it out for yourself!🌟

We want these sunnier days to keep on coming, so it’s only right that we bring out some little mouthfuls of summer ☀️

Wedding Season is almost upon us here at AKO Dining. Our wedding tastings over the past couple of months have given us the opportunity to perfect every dish and canapé for each of our couples, and we can’t wait to be a part of such lovely couples’ special days.

We also have some REALLY cool events, charters and dining experiences booked in for this year, which we are v. excited to cater for.

We have been super busy here at AKO these past couple of months, with Wedding Tastings for our lovely 2023 wedding couples, as well as Wedding Meetings with potential couples for 2024 and 2025!

All of this wedding chatter is getting us super excited for what 2023 is about to bring and we can’t wait to be a part of many more very special days ✨

These sunnier days have got us thinking back to a very special garden party last August, captured perfectly by the talented Photography By Emma Rolfe 🌸

We served up a selection of delicious dishes from our Outdoor Dining Package, as well as a few bespoke additions, and they went down an absolute treat. So much so that a lot of the lovely guests were sneaking up for thirds and asking for recipes!

This was a garden party like no other, filled with farm animals, tractor rides, a charismatic jazz band, crafting tables and of course, team AKO! When the event is organised by Teeparty Event Planners you expect that to be the case! The wildflower displays by Edwards Floral were divine and we loved working alongside our good friends at The Paddock Mobile Bar again, doing what they always do best 🤍

We’ve finally managed to sit down with a hot cuppa and take a few moments to really process what an incredible Wedding Season 2022 has been.

It was not only an honour to cater for the first official wedding at Abbots Court Rural Retreat & Wedding Venue but it was a preeeetty special feeling to cater for the final wedding of the season too! 💛

We have met the loveliest couples, many of which have now become good friends to us too. It has been a pleasure to be a part of everyone’s special days, each perfect and beautiful in their own unique ways. We’ve loved working alongside our fantastic suppliers Hospitality Hire, Meadowbrook Produce & Hutchings Brothers Seafood as well as the team at Abbots, and we are super excited for what’s to follow next year! ✨
