Solihull Conservation Event Brings Orangutan Ambassador to Umberslade This June

A unique, family-friendly conservation event is coming to the heart of Solihull this summer, as Louie: Voice for the Wild takes place on Saturday 21st June at Umberslade Adventure

Hosted by Jungle Lifeline, a new local Community Interest Company, the event aims to inspire families across Solihull and the surrounding Warwickshire area to learn more about rainforest conservation and the threats facing endangered species such as Orangutans.

At the heart of the event is Louie the Orangutan, a life-sized animatronic orangutan who has become a powerful ambassador for conservation across the UK. Through storytelling and interaction, Louie helps children and adults emotionally connect with wildlife and understand how everyday choices made here in the UK can impact forests thousands of miles away.

The event is proudly supported by the Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil (RSPO), highlighting the importance of sustainable palm oil in protecting rainforest habitats. The woodland event space has been generously provided by Umberslade Adventure, allowing the experience to take place in a natural outdoor setting that reflects the event’s conservation message.

While final event plans are still being confirmed, Louie: Voice for the Wild will feature family-friendly activities, conservation storytelling, and opportunities to meet Louie throughout the day.

Jungle Lifeline CIC is also calling on local sustainable and eco-conscious market traders, as well as local businesses who may wish to support the event through sponsorship, funding, or the loan of event equipment, to be part of this community-led conservation day.

“We wanted to create something meaningful right here in our local area,” says Darren Edwards, Founder of Jungle Lifeline CIC.
“We’re aware the date falls on Father’s Day, but we feel that makes it even more special — a few hours where families can spend quality time together, learn something new, and make a real difference. It’s about giving families a day out that matters, and showing that conservation can start at home.”

Further details will be announced soon.

As we close the door to 2025 and step into a brand-new year, we just want to say a huge thank you to every single one of you who has supported Louie on his journey so far.

This year, we’ve been truly overwhelmed to see Louie begin to make a ripple in what can feel like a very big ocean. From unforgettable bookings and special appearances — some you’ve already seen, and others still very much under wraps — it’s been incredible to watch Louie’s message start to travel further than we ever imagined.

We’re incredibly proud of the opportunities Louie has been part of this year, and even more excited about what’s to come.

Next year, we’re hoping Louie makes a real splash — reaching new audiences, opening important conversations, and bringing even more people closer to his mission as a guardian of the rainforest.

We can’t wait to take you along on Louie’s journey as it unfolds we are excited for the year ahead 🥂

In a world full of noise, change often begins softly.

Louie’s journey is just starting — a single ripple in the vast ocean of conservation — yet one filled with intention, hope, and purpose. Through storytelling, presence, and connection, Louie is bringing people closer to a greater mission: to stand as a guardian of the rainforest and a protector of Orangutans.

We are carefully building Louie into a name that families recognise not for spectacle, but for meaning. A symbol of care. A reminder that the world we pass on matters.

This festive season, we extend our thanks to those who have chosen to be part of Louie’s story. Your support helps transform small moments into lasting impact.

From all of us at Look, It’s Louie, we wish you a beautiful Christmas and a New Year filled with hope, wonder, and wild places worth protecting. 🌿🦧

The start of this week was incredibly special for Team Louie.

We can’t say too much just yet (all very hush-hush!)… but Louie has been away on an exciting job at MediaCityUK, and we’re so proud of what he’s been part of.

We’re not allowed to share any details, photos, or behind-the-scenes moments until everything becomes public — but trust us… it’s going to be worth the wait! 👀

Thank you to everyone who continues to support Louie’s journey as a Voice for the Wild. Opportunities like this help him reach new audiences and inspire even more people to care about Orangutans and the rainforest.

Stay tuned… the moment we’re allowed to reveal more, you’ll be the first to know!

Final preparations are underway… 👀🦧
We’ve been quietly working with a client for many months on a very special booking for Louie — and the final preparations are happening right now ready for his outing next week!

We can’t reveal too much at the moment, but Louie is very excited for this one… and so are we.

What we can say is this:
No matter where Louie goes or what he gets booked to do, his mission always comes with him.
Every appearance is a chance to spark a conversation, get people talking, and inspire someone to look him up and discover why he exists — to be a Voice for the Wild.

Sometimes all it takes is one encounter with Louie to get someone thinking about orangutans, rainforests, and how we can all help protect them.
Big week ahead… stay tuned. 🍃🧡🦧

I’m feeling really overwhelmed today… in the best possible way.

To be included in this year’s Voices of Hope alongside some of the most inspiring organisations fighting every day to protect orangutans and their forests… it truly means the world.
We’re just a small family project with a big mission — to bring people closer to orangutans, spark empathy, start conversations and inspire action. To see Look, It’s Louie and Jungle Lifeline mentioned among such incredible conservation heroes makes me hopeful that our presence is helping, even in some small way.

A huge thank you to everyone who believes in what we do, and to the incredible organisations working tirelessly on the front lines. Your work changes everything.

In a world that can feel heavy, hope matters.
And voices like these remind us why we keep going.

Hi friends, it’s Louie here 🦧— and today is Day Seven, the final day of Orangutan Caring , Week.

It has been truly amazing taking part in this week with you all. Seeing so many people care, share, and learn has filled me with so much hope.

Like everything in life, being noticed takes time.
Understanding takes time.

And sometimes, it takes a little spark to help people see why something matters.
That’s why I was created — to bring people a little closer to Orangutans, to help them feel that first spark of love and curiosity. And when that spark appears, the questions start… the conversations begin… and slowly, people feel the urge to help, to protect, and to spread hope for my wild cousins.

Look, It’s Louie is only a small part of a huge global conservation effort.
There are incredible rehabilitation centres and dedicated teams on the front line every single day, saving orangutans and fighting for the forests they call home. They are the real heroes.

But we believe Louie can still be a Voice for the Wild — reaching people far from the rainforest, and offering a hand of hope from thousands of miles away.

Thank you for being part of this week…
Thank you for caring…
And thank you for helping carry this message forward.

Together, we can keep that spark alive — and turn it into a future full of hope for all Orangutans. 🧡

Hi friends, it’s Louie here again! 🦧
It’s Day Six of Orangutan Caring , Week, and today I want to talk about something close to my heart — what it really means to care for orangutans.

Caring isn’t just feeling sad when you hear our forests are disappearing…
Caring is choosing to do something about it.

Every time you learn about orangutans, talk about conservation, support rescue centres, or choose products that protect our forests, you’re showing real care — the kind that leads to positive action.
And that caring truly matters.
It helps protect mothers raising their babies high in the trees…
It helps keep forest homes standing…
It gives orphaned orangutans a second chance…
And it gives my wild cousins the hope of a safer tomorrow.

When people care, orangutans have a future.
And together, we can make that future brighter. 🌿

Let’s keep caring, keep sharing, and keep giving a Voice for the Wild.

Hey everyone, it’s Louie here! 🦧
It’s Day Five of Orangutan Caring, Week, and today I want to celebrate one of my favourite things — teamwork.

In the rainforest, every creature has a role to play. From the tiniest insects to the tallest trees, we all work together to keep the forest alive and healthy. 🌳🌳🌳
It’s the same with people — when we care together, amazing things happen.

Whether you’ve shared a post, made a sustainable choice, planted a tree, or simply told someone about orangutans this week — you’re part of something bigger. You’re helping to build a future filled with hope and action.

Because when we work together, our voices echo through the forests — louder, stronger, and full of promise. 🧡

Let’s keep the teamwork going, and together we can give a true Voice for the Wild.

Hey everyone, it’s Louie here! 🦧

As we reach Day Four of Orangutan Caring, Week, I’ve been thinking a lot about what hope really means.

Hope isn’t just about wishing for a better world — it’s about building one. Every time you choose sustainable palm oil, support wildlife projects, or speak up for nature, you’re turning hope into real, positive action.

Next year, I’ll be looking to take that message on the road!

My UK Conservation Tour and Louie, Voice for the Wild event will bring hope and positive action directly to families and communities across the country. Together, we’ll learn how small changes can make a huge difference for wildlife and our planet.

Because hope isn’t something we find… it’s something we create and share. 🌿

Let’s keep spreading that hope — one positive action at a time.
