Hi all!
Our brand new system The Vale begins tomorrow evening (9th Sept). The session runs from 17.30 till 20.00. Time in is at 18.00.
The rules and background are below are accessible in the whatsapp player group or in the facebook LARP group but for those short on time, here is the short version!
The Vale features powerful characters blessed by various Powers – godlike entities that overlook certain drives and emotions. Mortals who draw upon these Powers are called Eidolons, and have access to skills and magic far beyond lesser foes.
The players all hail from Tariath, a northern Republic that has been at war with its southern neighbour the Harn Hegemony for hundreds of years. The players guard a pass through a large mountain range know as The Valley of Thorns, or The Vale.
The pass is narrow, so few can hold against many. This is where both Tariath and Harn send their Eidolons. Let battle commence!
Character creation is very easy and fast. Each following session players will be able to add skills and abilities to their characters, so you improve every time! The sessions will usually be split into roleplaying time and two battles. Combatants are requested to Crew one battle if they wish to play the other. Non combatants will have plenty of NPC roles to play during the more peaceful times!
Each session, including tomorrow, will require each player to sign in, pay for the session (£7.50), chose their skills/spend experience and spend character money on Potions, Scrolls and resources for the session to come. Please try to arrive between 17.30 and 17.55 to complete admin before play :)
