Points to think about when planning your Signage :

🪧 What information is it providing to your guests and does it need to stand?
🪧How can it reflect your Wedding and style… the materials it’s made from, the colours, imagery, adding flowers or dressing the sign.

The Wedding House is seeking a highly organised and motivated Administrative Assistant and Sales Representative to join our team. As a key member of our venue styling company, you will be responsible for providing administrative support and driving sales efforts by conducting consultations for clients in our showroom in Droitwich. You will work closely with the management team, clients, and suppliers to deliver high-quality venue styling services for various events.

The role is based at our HQ, 16 hours a week / 64 hours a month. Hours can be flexible but must include 16 hours a month on a weekend for client meetings, so that can we one weekend a month or 2 days spread over the month.

📣 SUPPORTING LOCAL THIS WEEK 📣

Supporting my local children’s playgroup WyePlay this week who are running Graduation sessions for all those Covid born babies and now starting school this September! Time has flown!

I have been attending WyePlay myself for the last 4 years… and still go now with my youngest. They have been an amazing support network as well as providing somewhere for Mums to go with their little ones.

💭 WHAT YOU SEE ISN’T ALWAYS REAL LIFE⁉️

I am always quick to post aesthetically pleasing photos of my work… and why wouldn’t I?

But what you don’t see behind the scenes is the time taken to make those photos happen, not to mention the time taken to make the products as well!!

Social media is really good for giving you the best bits, but more often enough it is forgotten just how much work, love, time and effort goes into our small businesses.

👀 The person you watch on this account and have been continuing to watch struggles massively with self confidence.

⁉️ Is my work good enough? Will they be happy with the finished piece?

💔 Imposter Syndrome.. why I am not as good as them?

☀️ And working alone, we forget sometimes that a lot of these small businesses are a ‘one man band’ and the weight they sometimes carry on their shoulders to keep it all going is huge!

Soo… when you view a picture next time on here, look closely. Imagine the chaos around it, the family life they are so desperately trying to work hard for and..

💬 Have you thought about QR codes?

QR codes are becoming increasingly more popular. The last few of my invitation designs have included them and that’s not just for RSVPs!

They are a great way for guests to go directly to a website or page set up specifically for your Wedding, whether it be to reply or just take a look at more information about the venue and the day itself.

Maybe you’ve set up a gift list on a chosen website and want to use a QR code to direct your guests straight there?

QR codes are easy and it means you can condense the information down that may have previously needed to print.

That being send, don’t forget about guests who may not be so tech savvy (my grandparents for one!) and you might just need to print a handful of Reply cards or inserts for those who need them 💛

🥂IT'S ALMOST MY BIRTHDAY🎂

Well... this little business is almost 4! I can't quite believe it.

What started as more of a hobbie alongside my PT job at the time turned into a make or break option during Covid Lockdown.....

and here we are now!

With two little mini me's and a husband who also helps me behind the scenes, this year is just getting busier and we are definitely into the full Wedding season!
