Mostachón / Mexican Pavlova Cake - can be topped with a variety of fruits!

Our Mexican Pavlova Cake with Strawberries (Mostachon de Fresa) is a typical dessert from Northern Mexico. It is made by folding crushed biscuits and pecans into meringue. It is baked and then topped with a light cream and fresh strawberries. This dessert is wonderful and refreshing in the summer as it is stored in the fridge. However, you can enjoy this dessert year round.

ChocoFlan (also known as Impossible Cake) is a fusion of moist chocolate cake and creamy flan. It is topped with dulce de leche and pecans.

Rollo de Cajeta / Dulce de Leche Roll Cake

This is the Mexican take on a Swiss roll. Dulce de leche is spread on the vanilla sponge and pecans are sprinkled. It is then rolled into a log and covered with additional dulce de leche and topped with more pecans.

Tres Leches Cake! 🍰

Tres Leches Cake (translates as Three Milks Cake) is a traditional Mexican dessert. It is a sponge cake that is soaked in three kinds of milk: evaporated milk, condensed milk, and whole milk. It is a light cake with many air bubbles which is perfect to soak up the milk. Best served cold straight from the fridge and topped with fresh berries or pecans! 😊

We are back! ☺️

Over the holidays, we decided to expand our offerings and now also sell traditional Mexican desserts (and some not so Mexican, too)! Over the next few days, we will share with you photos of the desserts we've made and are available for purchase.

Meanwhile, below are some amazing Pastor tacos made today. In Northern Mexico we know them as Tacos de Trompo. Other places call them Tacos de Adobada. No matter the name, these tacos are exquisite! Pork is marinated overnight with adobada which is a combination of chillies, spices, pineapple, and achiote paste. Once cooked, we top it off with onion, cilantro, and a squeeze of lime!

Enchiladas!

We prepared two types of Enchiladas for a returning customer:
1. Enchiladas Suizas/ Green Chicken Enchilada
2. Enchiladas Rojas/ Red Beef Enchiladas

Once you are ready to eat, pour the sauce over the tortillas and pop in the oven! ☺️

Tacos Dorados de Papa Guisada con Queso
Crispy Tacos with Seasoned Potatoes and Cheese 🌮🇲🇽

I was introduced to these type of tacos on my first trip to Mexico’s capital. Even though I’d practically grown up in Northern Mexico, I had never had them before.

They are crunchy. The filling is soft with lots of good seasoning. The gooey melted cheese takes it up a notch. If you’re vegan, we can omit the cheese. They are still super delicious. I love to top them off with thinly sliced cabbage or lettuce, tomato, avocado, crema (sour cream), and salsa!

Note: There are so many Mexican dishes that it would be impossible to list them all. Our goal is to slowly introduce you all to more of the lesser known dishes so you can try. Anything we post on our FB (even if not on our official website menu) is available for order.

We will be on Holiday Dec 15 - Jan 9 so will be pausing orders during this time period.

If you want food for Christmas or New Years, I can get it sorted for you now through next weekend (Dec 10-11). Since the food is made fresh, you can freeze the food upon receipt until you need it.

We’ve been having severe delays/issues with Royal Mail, UPS, and DHL because of strikes and overall higher volumes due to Christmas. If you’re in London, we can try to arrange a meeting point (anywhere in central London or close to Bank station). However, if you must do shipping (outside of London), we are currently only shipping Next Day Guaranteed. The food is good in the foil liner and gel packs for 48 hrs so a day delay on the guaranteed delivery would still be fine.

Thanks so much for your support and understanding as we work through these shipping issues.

We also have a *NEW* way to order food. Our website has real time ordering for food that we are currently shipping. It’s quick, easy, and can conveniently be done anytime from your phone or computer.
