My ethos is to play music that has a clear dance rhythm to inspire the dancers. The dance can then move with energy and with a connection to the rhythm of the music.
My playlists are arranged in TTVTTM format with clear cortinas.
My approach as a TDJ is influenced by my much more extensive experience as a Tango dancer and for my love of the music that honestly conveys emotion.
I select traditional Tango classics, which dancers enjoy dancing to as well as less known tracks but equally very danceable.
My goal is to share Tango music and encourage people to dance and dance all night long, and show my passion for dancing to good Tango music.
For high energy dancing I select music from D'Arienzo, Donato and Biagi. For less energetic music perhaps from Di Sarli, Fresedo or Canaro. Softer rhythmical music from Calo, Tanturi, D'Agostino and Troilo. For later in the evening the more dramatic music from Pugliese. I also enjoy dancing and playing Fox-trot from Enrique Rodriguez and Canyengue from Roberto Firpo and Rafael Canaro. But I don't limit myself to the above mentioned as these are but a few.
I continue to collect tango music and am always open to suggestions.
Finally from my perspective as a Tango DJ, to see everyone on the floor dancing to my music is a very rewarding experience.
