We like to teach children lots of interesting facts as well as having the fun of the realistic dinosaurs. There are many other firms in the UK starting to offer dinosaurs but with Dinomania we offer a full immersive experience and always tailor every visit to suit age. Hey there! We’re on the hunt for a fantastic full-time dinosaur ranger to join our team at Dinomania!

Picture this: you’ll be the star of our amazing shows, leading school workshops, corporate events, TV appearances, festivals, and more! It’s an exciting opportunity to work with children and share your passion for dinosaurs.

As a full-time ranger, you’ll be responsible for performing in our incredible dinosaur suits and engaging with our audience. You’ll also need to drive one of our vans (a full normal licence is all you need).

We’re looking for someone who’s confident in front of large crowds, enthusiastic, and able to work weekdays, weekends, and stay away from home for short periods since many of our jobs are spread across the UK. The applicant must also be over 25 for insurance reasons

Since we’re based in South Wales, you’ll need to be able to get to our base near Aberdare.

Say hi to Opabinia regalis

Time Period: Cambrian Period (about 505 million years ago)
Location: Burgess Shale, Canada

Why it’s a whole new level of weird:
• It had five eyes on stalks (yes, five).
• A long, vacuum-hose-like proboscis with a claw at the end to grab food and stuff it into its backward-facing mouth.
• A soft, segmented body with side flaps and a tail fan, like a swimming pancake with attitude.

Basically, it looked like a creature designed by a toddler with a crayon and zero rules

Forget Indiana Jones… WE’RE afraid of this snake!

Say hello to Titanoboa, the biggest snake to ever squeeze its way through history.

Measuring up to 13 metres long (that’s longer than a bus!) and weighing over a ton, this prehistoric serpent lived about 60 million years ago in the steaming jungles of what is now South America.

It didn’t just look terrifying—it was terrifying. It could crush crocodiles, slither silently through swamps, and probably gave every other creature around it serious anxiety.

Basically, if a python and a nightmare had a baby, you’d get Titanoboa.

Would you go swimming in Titanoboa’s swamp? Or are you sticking to the shallow end?

Hey there! Get ready for an epic dinosaur adventure in Swansea! Dinomania: Rivals of the Jurassic is coming to town, and it’s going to be a blast!

Mark your calendars for May 17th and 18th, and head to the LC Swansea for a day filled with thrilling shows. The show starts at 11 am and 2 pm every day, so there’s something for everyone.

Adults can enjoy a ticket for £8, while children over two can get their tickets for £12. Carer and family tickets are also available.

When evolution presses the “random” button

Meet the Ambulocetus – a prehistoric creature that looked like a crocodile who really wanted to be a whale.

This “walking whale” had legs for waddling, webbed feet for swimming, and a mouth full of teeth that said ‘I bite first, ask later.’

It lived around 50 million years ago and was one of the weird in-between species during the whale’s epic journey from land to sea. Imagine a chunky, semi-aquatic predator sneaking through swamps, looking like it borrowed parts from a crocodile, otter, and a really grumpy dog.

This is nature’s version of “it’s not a phase, Mum!”
