She did it ! What a great afternoon! My daughter created her first stall for a wonderful home ed project. She came up with a theme, a name for her company, designed the logo and poster and calculated how much the ingredients costs and how much to charge. She baked and decorated the cakes completly independently. They looked and tasted DIVINE ! Her stall looked AMAZING and she sold all but one of her cakes (and nearly all the bags of dog biscuits sold too.)
It was lovely to see her confidence grow throughout the experience, and to see how proud she felt! She has learnt so much from it. 💚

🌿For this weekends celebrations I have created a nature hunt , where the children can explore the environment , and hopefully collect some of the treasures on the list too! 🌿
💛It was so GOOD to be in the GLORIOUS sunshine today.. I printed off the Nature hunt and went for a walk through our local park. I sat under the shade of some beautiful trees and attached the print outs to little bags, all ready for the children to fill them up this weekend.💛

💚Hello everyone! 💚
🌿Something you may not know about me... I home educate my wonderful 11 ( and a half) year old daughter. 🌿
💚Today has consisted of a karate lesson, practicing times tables, maths homework, writing about her favourite movie characters, spellings, a lovely walk in a local park, talking about the moon and what phase it's in, looking at the sun set and noticing the days slowly getting longer, and discussing how you could move to follow the sunshine and always be warm if you wanted to ! Discussing spiders, how long they live, how many babies they have, and lots of other discussions throughout the day! ( I've also been emailing potential customers, answering queries, pricing events, working on my website and thinking about the imminent tax return!). 💚
🌿Big questions today from my daughter were about technology. She asked how long computers have been around, when was the Internet invented, what was it like before that ? Its really interesting to have that conversation. To put into perspective the tiny amount of time it's been around, and how much its become part of our culture. 🌿
💚So much has changed since I was 11 ! I absolutely feel that technology has its place, and is of huge benefit to us...BUT everything in moderation ! 💚
🌿It instantly made me think of how happy I am to have this little business. How passionate I am about encouraging children to be outside, to allow them time to explore and give them lots of opportunities to be creative! 🌿
💚What a wonderful life we have and how beautiful and important it is to look after ourselves and our world. 💚
🌿 Embracing nature can have incredible benefits for children's mental and physical health! Here are a few reasons why spending time outdoors, engaging in nature crafts, and taking a break from technology can be so beneficial for kids:
