A cute set up for an even cuter baby!

Loved working with Romans mum who did an incredible job at coordinating with all of the suppliers for her son’s special day! She wanted to have the theme of a teddy bear picnic 🐻 for her son Romans first birthday.

Speaking for myself- There is nothing better than receiving a request with a mood board! This always helps to understand what the client is interest in as well as the colours/tones! Don’t ever feel like it too much to offer this to your suppliers - this is a massive help!

Also loved the comment from the mum that it was more of a celebration for the parents lasting a year than the actual birthday of their son. From one mother to another, I completely understand this feeling! 😂

Santa Claus has decided to visit The Wee Bookshop in Dollar this December and we couldn’t be more excited!

We are delighted that Santa has taken time out of his busy schedule to meet local children and spread
Christmas cheer! 🎄

Santa will be allowing children to visit him in his special Grotto and enjoy the following:

- Meet Santa Claus in person in our custom made
Christmas Grotto!

- Receive an early Christmas present from Santa.

- Polaroid picture to capture a great memory + picture opportunity.

- Receive a personalised letter from Santa!

Santa needs to make sure all the toys are being made correctly so he is limited to which days and times he can visit, so make sure you don’t miss him!

My Dad
It’s really difficult to find the right words to explain how much my dad means to me. Raising 13 kids is a full-time job on its own, yet he has tirelessly worked nonstop to provide for us. I’ve seen him sacrifice so much of his life and time to ensure we had everything we needed. I will forever be grateful to him, as he has helped me understand what I wanted in a partner. I’ve been married to Michael for eight years now and watching him put our children above everything else brings me immense happiness. Seeing my children grow up with such great examples in their lives fills me with joy.

Alistair - My Father-in-Law
I always say how similar Alistair and Michael are. Both possess an incredible amount of ambition. I’ve never seen a harder working individual than Alistair. When I first met him, he said, “Are you prepared for what you may end up with? After all, Michael and I are the same person!” And how true that is! While many people have dreams and plans, few actually work hard to bring them to life. Alistair, you are the foundation of who Michael is, and for that, I am deeply grateful.

Michael - My Husband
Michael, I love you. Only you understand everything we have been through together. Our kids are so fortunate to have you as their father, and I am so glad to call you my best friend and husband. Our children are already brilliant, and with these three incredible men in their lives to look up to, they are destined to grow up to be something extraordinary.

It’s been a busy and super full couple of weeks! Oh wow! I am blown away how fantastic the duck race in Dollar was today! We moved here in November and although I have already fallen in love with dollar, today was beyond incredible! So nice to see somethingfocused on making things fun for the children and creating memorable experiences for families in the local community.

A massive thank you to everyone who helped make this happen today! You guys are doing something so fantastic ! ❤️ A very special memory that will stick with myself and my kids for a very long time!

Apologies to anyone waiting on email and message replies! We have been so busy which I can’t complains about. I will be catching up on all our email and message enquiries over the weekend ! Thanks for all your enquiries, keep sending them along!

We will also be adding some gluten feee, vegetarian and vegan options again. We have had them in the past but are now updating the pictures. Learning to do grazing platters took practice and we have definitely improved so much since the old product pictures went online.

Too soon to mention the C word? 🤔 🎄 🎅🏽

Every year, Santas grotto has been super busy and ALWAYS sells out!

Not only do we have the BEST Elf & Santa, but, shhh… he’s also the REAL Santa! He knows so much about each child - and not just their names and ages! Let me tell you, the kids aren’t the only ones fascinated by Santa, the parents are too! Sometimes I wonder if the parents are more interested than the kids! 🤔😅

Let’s not forget, our Santa even made it onto BBC Scotland!

Last year we ended on a weird note, unsure of plans for Santas grotto and whether or not it would be going ahead for 2024. Things are still to be confirmed so I can’t give out too much information, but Santa is showing a very keen interest to visit us again this Christmas - this time in a very special new venue.

BrucefieldEstate is fantastic and such an incredible place to visit! We love working with Brucefield as they make sure every single guest’s requirements are met as well as their stay being super special. If you’re looking for a place to visit, I highly recommend! 🙌🏻

A lazy breakfast in full sunlight . . . at any time of day with sun from first thing in the morning to last shafts in the evening.

Slackbrae is perfect as an away break for two couples - particularly with the generous size of 120m2.

Thanks everyone who ordered for this weekend!
Like a loads of other businesses, mother's day weekend is one of the busiest days and I'm so glad to say I had a fantastic time with so many orders and even better, being able to finish with plenty time to spend with my kids. Over 250 sandwiches, 100 scones & cakes make for so many people today!

We finished the night visiting my own family to celebrate Mother's Day and look over some old pictures. As much as l've always known how fantastic my kids are, I love being able to have that day once a year to really focus on it and appreciate how lucky I am to be their mother.

Michael and I were unfortunate to lose one of our sons a few years back- he would have been 5 now. Ever since then, being a mother has never meant more to me.

I know this is a difficult day for many people out there.

For those like myself who are fortunate to have children, this day is not about receiving gifts but to look at our children and hold them tight. We really are so lucky.

I have attached some of my favourite funny pictures of my two boys including a drawing Mylo made of me the other day - apparently it's what I look like when I'm angry.
