Preparing flowers for the family of a much loved friend recently, to celebrate her life and exceptional spirit. A woman whom one rarely saw without a smile and who was a tremendous help to so many people, with a true humanitarian heart. Impossible not to love her and her two gorgeous boys. The season is buzzing by and we are heading towards our very last scheduled pick your own for 2023!!
If you’ve wanted to visit, this Friday and Saturday is the time to do so - we’d love to see you and share the last PYO days with you here!
Charlotte and Ardella will be out with buckets and snips, ready for your visit. Dahlias, cosmos, zinnias, amaranth, sunflowers and lots more will be available for cutting.
Your first bucketful is £40, with an additional bucket of stems for £35, be it for you or a friend coming with you. Full details on our website!

Absolutely loved welcoming this group of talented women to The Flowered Garden last month for a workshop in the garden.
We discussed growing flowers for cutting in more of a garden environment, utilising no-dig and an effort towards sustainable and organic principles in growing.
We took a walk together through the cutting areas, chatting about the various flowers growing at the time, the PYO garden that we opened this year and how we began growing in the space.
Following this we headed back to the house to get our hands in the flowers and began our spiral tutorial with the stems harvested especially for the day.
While there was mostly sunshine, the rain came for five minutes - the concentration and joy of creating won out, no one cared at all! Focused on their arrangements everyone did brilliantly, some having time and materials to create more than one beautiful bouquet, tied and ready for gifting or to be placed in a vase at home.
After the hard work, cake, nibbles and more flower growing chat fuelled everyone’s onward journey. 🥂
Thank you to my lovely friend for putting us forward as hosts for this workshop…it was an absolute pleasure to meet everyone, discuss how we flower it up here at The Flowered Garden and to help everyone gain the know-how and confidence to spiral flowers beautifully. 👏💛

The sun could not have shone its warmth upon a lovelier couple this past Saturday…here are some images and video of their flowers in prep and in situ.
A&G chose to have us grow and arrange their bridal party and ceremony table flowers, while G spun his magic with our Arranger’s Buckets for their reception table centrepieces…bravo 👏✨
The colour scheme was light and dusty pinks, whites and greens. The image of the bridal bouquet is prior to it being trimmed and ribboned with dusty pink - a non-trailing, graceful and loosely traditional bouquet sums up the brief.
The circular table arrangements were in a base of chicken wire for support, no oasis, and plenty of water so the flowers could remain fresh throughout the day.
We hope A&G had a magical, memorable day and are so thrilled to have had the opportunity to help make it how they’d envisaged 🤍🥂

A quick run through of Friday’s collaborative centrepiece workshop with Gemma @flheure and Charlotte, owner of the beautiful @belairsurreyhills where the event was held.
After a brief introduction by Charlotte, Gemma and me, the spotlight focused on the flowers, all grown by The Flowered Garden (a video run through at the end of this reel). The guests were expertly taken through creating their foliage structure within the chicken wired bases by Gemma and from there the morning was spent greening and flowering up the selected vessels, all with chicken wire as the mechanics.
Celebrating summer, there was sunshine, laughter, joy and time spent in simple creation. We hope everyone had a wonderful time - the arrangements were all beautiful and worthy of celebration 👏🥂
Enormous thanks to Gemma and Charlotte for helping to host such a wonderful workshop, displaying local, British Grown ingredients at their summer best! And thanks to my team for their help, as always 🙏✨

What can you create with flowers from our PYO beds?!
Some seriously gorgeous arrangements!
With the dahlias now bursting with colour, it’s the perfect time to visit and gather a large bucket of stems to arrange however you wish…keep them for yourself or gift them to another, or perhaps do both! This arrangement was a large bunch of love for some visiting friends 💛
The cutting areas are ablaze with colour, forms and texture. From deep reds to soft pinks and tangerines to whites, it’s a grown up sweet shop and we can’t get enough 🍬🍭 (not edible, for the eyes only, no nibbling the flowers ☺️)
Dahlias aren’t the only treats to be found either. Zinnias, Cosmos, Scabious, Silene, Sunflowers, Poppy heads, Achillea…lots of beautiful ingredients to make exquisite arrangements 💚🌱

Completing its fourth weekend, the Pick Your Own Flowers Patch has kicked off wonderfully well and there are so many beautiful buckets of flowers being gathered!!
Whether donning raincoats or sunnies, our visitors have been brimming with satisfaction and armloads of flowers - incredibly lovely to see.
Walking alongside the beds, each visitor has the space and time to choose and harvest the stems they wish to include in their PYO bucket. The mix is always different and uniquely gorgeous.
“It’s amazing!” “So educational!” “That was so much fun!” are just a few of the most recent comments we’ve received from our customers 🙏 Nothing is more satisfying to the team here than knowing our love for doing what we do (in whatever weather!) is received well and worth every effort, thank you 💚

This season our #dahlias both from seed and from multiple cuttings of some of our favourite varieties, are almost at the harvesting stage…that section of the field is about to come alive with colour, shape and texture!! We can’t wait!
