Get your guests ready to save the date! As formal invitations aren’t typically sent out until 4-6 months before the wedding, if you’re planning your wedding a year or more in advance, it’s helpful to send your guests a save the date – it’s the first time they’ll hear about your wedding and means they can plan well ahead to make sure they can attend! Plan to send your save the dates as soon as you’ve set your date and booked your venue, then you can give your guests an idea where your big day will be!

Things have been so busy in the last few months that it’s been hard to find the time to photograph all the lovely new collections that I have to share with you! I’m getting there so there’s plenty to share in the coming weeks and months!

As an antidote to the cold and wet weather I’m going tropical…. Introducing the Tropical Palms collection, a gorgeous botanical suite featuring orchids, monstera and pampas, with mix-and-match options for accessorising!

Here’s the suite wrapped up with a gorgeous personalised silver-foiled vellum belly band, and shown with Black Luxe (pearlescent) envelope and envelope liner, and Rich Black RSVP envelope.

So I’ve been a little quiet on here recently – but I’ve been very busy behind the scenes, not least on client stationery projects! I’ve also been hard at work on the new website which is taking shape nicely 😌

I have so much to share with you this year but I’m picking up where I left off with the Highland Romance collection as I’m currently dreaming of when I can actually get a holiday (it’s been a veerrrry long time…) and Scotland will undoubtedly be top of my list!

Here’s the suite shown with matching pearlescent Highland Bronze envelopes, with envelope liner, and finished with a gorgeous ‘Forest’ wax seal and thread.

This collection is also perfect for weddings in the Lake District or North Wales – it’s so evocative of our beautiful landscapes

It’s not surprising so many couples choose to get married here! I designed my Highland Romance wedding stationery collection to try to evoke some of that magical landscape and wrap it up in a gorgeous wedding invitation 🦌

From the coast to the mountains… I decided the next collection to share would be ‘Highland Romance’! Inspired by my love of the outdoors, of Scotland's breathtaking landscapes, of mountains and forests and cosy lodges with warming fireside gatherings… This suite is just perfect for those Highland weddings and elopements, or Lake District or Peak District weddings nestled in the fells and hills 🦌

This invite is made of two parts – a printed vellum layer secured with an eyelet to rest over an illustration of the landscape, printed on fine art Gesso cardstock. Taking inspiration from the colours of the landscape, the standard vellum text colour is bronze with bronze eyelet, but it is also available in foiled silver vellum overlay and silver eyelet (will share in future posts!)

So here is the Highland Romance collection as a Charmed Invite™, with bronze thistle charm, and luxury envelopes in ‘Highland Bronze Shimmer’ (a gorgeous pearlescent bronze) with envelope liner.

There are many ways to customise this collection – standard or luxury envelopes, with or without liners, wax seals, foiling… I'm looking forward to sharing more of this one with you!!

I’m just sharing one more image of the Beachcomber suite before I move onto showing you a new collection later this week! I haven’t decided what that will be just yet… there’s a few collections waiting in the wings – all of which I love – that I haven’t even given a sneak peek of yet!

So this is Beachcomber in the shade ‘Coast Blue’ - the next time I share this suite, I’ll introduce you to ‘Sea Spray’ – it’s a gorgeous shade of sea glass blue-green!

The beauty of this suite is its versatility - there’s so many ways to customise this beautiful collection according to your budget – here, the Save the Date and day invitation is shown with an optional ‘under the sea’ vellum overlay, wrapped up with a vellum belly band and pearl white wax seal, and with matching envelopes in Mother of Pearl, with envelope liners 🐚🌊

There’s few better feelings than coming home from a day by the sea with windswept hair and your lungs full of fresh salty air. For my first I thought I would share why creating my ‘Beachcomber’ collection felt so personal 🐚

We are blessed in the UK with having some of the most beautiful coastlines. One of the reasons I am so looking forward to lockdown easing is so that I can be back here… by the sea. It’s a place I feel very at home and very at peace – as a young child I was frequently to be found ‘grubbing around’ in rock pools (as my mum would say!). The sea held a deep fascination. At every opportunity I would be in the water.

In my early teens I won a place on a biology field trip – four days studying the biology and species of the shoreline, and I was in my element. For the next few years of my teens I worked towards becoming a Marine Biologist, even earning a place at Bangor University. For various reasons, it was not to be and life took a different course, as life often does to what we planned.

I sometimes wonder where I’d be now, with my first choice of career – it’s amazing how many of us end up doing something completely different from where we saw ourselves! The coast will always be my favourite place, especially the days I now spend there with my husband – me beachcombing and sitting watching the waves pounding in, and he spending time on his landscape photography. A day by the sea is never wasted – it’s the best soul food there is 🌊

A touch of gold 🐚
The Beachcomber suite is sooo customisable, and it’s available as one of my Charmed Invites™. In an earlier post I shared the suite with a silver starfish charm, but if a touch of delicate gold brings out other accents in your styling, you can choose to add gold foiled vellum overlays to your invites and a gold cowrie shell charm as a finishing touch. Or, if you’d prefer, you can choose a wax seal instead of a charm!

Other collection options shown here include a vellum belly band, envelope liners, and fully matching envelopes in ‘Mother of Pearl’.

Happy Valentine’s Day, lovers!

My heartfelt congrats to all the couples who get engaged today, starting out on one of life’s most special journeys 💍

I’m spending this cold and windy lockdown Valentines with my fab husband and our two cats, probably eating too much chocolate and pizza! This photo was taken on a very special day on the far north coast of Scotland, where we got engaged – the most perfect day, in my favourite place ❤️
