Huge congratulations to my beautiful bride Kerry and her husband Tom, who got married recently in Mallorca 🎊

I love a destination wedding! If Mr C and I plan to renew our vows, I want a day like Kerry and Tom's 😍

It's sometimes harder to imagine your bridal look for a destination wedding though. Kerry really didn't know what she was looking for when we began the search for her dream dress 🤔

It soon became apparent that she would be a dazzling destination bride in any dress. I had a new dress on order that I really wanted Kerry to try, so we arranged to meet a couple of months later. In the end, it wasn't that one, but we did find "the one" that day. It just shows that timing is everything, and you should try the wild card! This dreamy romantic gown really was the perfect choice 😍

Kerry, you look so beautiful, so relaxed and so happy. I couldn't be happier for you knowing that you had the most amazing day ✨️

Looking at these gorgeous photos, I can't imagine Anna getting married in any other dress. We tried LOTS in the search for Anna's dream dress, and in the end, it came down to two completely different looks. Both by the same designer. Both looked incredible! How do you choose between them? You take time to process and reflect, come back with fresh eyes, and trust your gut! Aurora by Kelsey Rose was definitely "the one". Anna, you would have looked amazing in any dress, but this was, without doubt, the perfect dress for you. S T U N N I N G 😍

I got a wonderful reminder from one of my brides today that this business really is about making dreams come true ✨️

I've been stressing again about not making time for my social media. It's not for lack of content, that's for sure! I have so many real bride photos and new dresses I want to share with you. I'll get there! 🥰

It has been incredibly busy in the boutique since I got back from honeymoon. Knowing that I've made lots of dreams come true in the last few weeks eases my guilt about my socials 😅

I seem to be blessed with the most relaxed brides, and Lauren is one. We were all surprised when at her first appointment back in 2022. I encourage my brides who've bought early to come back and try their dress whenever they need reassurance that they chose the right one. Lauren never wavered 😍

I have to confess, I was the one that caused chaos for a couple of days in the run-up to the wedding when I mislaid her mum's veil! I suppose we're all human 😆 Suffice to say, it all worked out in the end, even if it did involve delivering her dress and veil to her house the night before the wedding! Again, Lauren didn't miss a beat. Thank you 🥰

I was back in the boutique yesterday and have spent today catching up with admin, so I'm well and truly back to work if you need me. I also have lots of beautiful real bride photos to share with you, which will revive my sorely neglected socials 💖

A new chapter begins ✨️

Mr C and I were still getting mirrors in place and doing the finishing touches until 9pm last night, but miraculously, we got it done just in time for today's appointments 😅

In truth, it's 90% done. We'll get to the last 10% next week and share more photos then. I think we've earned a day off tomorrow 😴

And to the two wonderful brides who visited me today, thank you for making my first day in the new shop so special. Congratulations to you both on saying yes to the dress! 🥳

44 Queen Street 🥰

I had my last appointments in 44 Queen Street yesterday, and whilst I'm obviously super excited to move into the new shop, it was a little emotional to realise that I'll be leaving my beautiful boutique 🥹

I'm so proud of the space we created literally from nothing. If you ventured behind the wardrobes, you'd have found a vast empty space. The boutique was like a movie set, which was very apt given that the building, The Regal, was a former cinema ✨️

I have so many wonderful memories from the last 3 years. I really couldn't have hoped for a more perfect start for With This Dress. Thank you to everyone who has visited. You are all part of our success story ☺️

Update 💙

It always takes longer than you think! Progress has been slow, but I can't tell you how excited I am seeing the new shop take shape.

The new windows are in, and we have signs. All the interior work is complete, and we just need to paint everything before the new floor goes down next week.

Sounds simple, yes? No! Painting takes forever 😠

Mr C is doing a stellar job. I just pop in to do a couple of hours here and there. It's not my favourite pastime at all, but I have to agree with Mr C, it will all be worth it. Teamwork makes the dream work 🙌

Is your feed full of gorgeous fitted dresses? Whilst I LOVE the elegance, sophistication, and sexiness they exude, I've come to realise that they are for the minority of my brides 🙃

A quick analysis of my sales showed that less than 10% of my brides chose a fitted dress. You might also be surprised to hear that ball gowns are loved just as much by my brides as A-line dresses 😍

I chose this stunning gown (first pic) for my wedding photos last year, but I'm not sure she'd have been my pick if we'd had an all-day affair. Would/did you choose a fitted gown for your big day? 🤔

When my time with a bride is coming to the end; she's found her dream dress, we've done all the alterations and is ready to leave with her dress counting the days until she can wear it, I often say "my work here is done". But it's more than that. Some brides grow through the experience of finding their wedding dress. Some find more beauty in themselves than they'd seen before and, most importantly, love what they see.
