Happy little accidents 🐈‍⬛📸 Today I woke up feeling a huge shift of presence. I woke up, cleaned the kitchen, made a cacao, sat meditating with my breath for 10 minutess and then taking videos of the sun peaking through the bare oak tree branches, with Freyja as interested in the outside world as me. Then my alarm went off, a song that forever reminds me of the polarity of joy and sadness of experiences in life, transporting back to that beach in the little island of Utila. I spent a month watching the sunsets at that beach, allowing my heart to feel what it needed to feel, over and over.

This was supposed to be a video about yoga with rheumatoid arthiritus but here's a compilation of yoga and kitten energies coming together instead 🤣 Also, I highly reccomend a yoga session whilst listening to @facesoul - takes you on such a beautiful, introspective and empowering journey whilst connecting to your breath and body. This was the first time in 3 weeks I'd been able to actually move past the pain block in my mind to meet myself on my mat. Yes, it does hurt at points, but I let that move me into positions that DO work for me where my bodies at right now. When I teach I always say "listen to your body", or "honour where you're at today" and now I'm really having to take a slice of my own advice. Freyja brings so much joy to my life, she brings humor back into my day to day when the pain feels like it's the only thing that exists. She was absolutely divine timing. Applied for a Foster cat the night before my friend found her abandoned and rang me to ask if I wanted a cat... ha. Only thing I didn't put on my application was a kitten and the universe was like Naaaaah A kitten is EXACTLY what you need. #rhuematoidarthritis #yoga #yogaforarthritis #catyoga #catfunny #workingwithdisease

I ran away from heart break just to find more of it, but this beach, this sunset, helped me heal a little part of it each evening. Oooofph, a bit of cacao ASMR don't mind if I do 🤤👂🍫 I was going to put music over this but mm mm mmmm the sounds are as delicious as the cacao I've had a lot of people ask me where I get my cacao and how to prepare it, so here's a cute little step by step video. See below for written instructions ✍ I'm work with @cacaoamor as a distributor of their cacao. Deya, a dear sister and teacher, works with 4 families in Ecuador. Deya guarantees to buy the entire crop no matter how much or how little is grown, takes a % of each purchase to go direct to the farmers to help them to invest in themselves to become more self sufficient, and unlike commercial cocoa production, the trees are honoured once they are past their most productive age (40 years). For me this is vital as we take so much from these sacred trees, giving them the promise to live out the rest of their years in peace is a fair trade i think. Deya is also the first person I ever had a cacao ceremony with, and her cacao was just following me around to other cacao ceremonies I attended. I took the hints from the universe and connected with her to find out she runs a cacao facilitator course & retreat. Step by step: ♡Choose your dosage and finely chop it •15g is a great starter amount •all the way up 45g ♡brings some water to the boil (I like to use half plant milk half water but traditionally its made with just water) and then take it off the heat ♡add in sweetener of choice •I used coconut sugar because I've run out of honey •you can experiment with all kinds of things, cayenne pepper, cinnamon, vanilla, I've used rosehip and elderberry syrups and its was just divine. ♡use a whisk to give it a good mix ♡pour into your favourite mug, the higher you pour the better bubbles you get 😍 ♡happy jigg when you drink it cuz it tastes soo good

There are no mistakes in creativity 🎨 When we trust that if our 'f**k ups' are just an encouragement to step out of our comfort zone, to transform our work into something even more incredible than originally planned. Here, I accidentally dropped some black paint on the background I worked hard on, and I hadn't noticed until it had dried. In the past I would be so upset and feel like the piece was ruined. Now, I see it as an opportunity to trust my process and just build around the 'mistake'. It's an opportunity for growth. That is what we keep asking for after all, isn't it?

Part 1/2: the process of creating "purpose in pain; in pleasure" This piece has been birthed from intense pain, mixed in with intense pleasure. I've never had an image come to me so strongly and so clearly as this one. I've obviously had to fill in the more minute details but I knew there was a woman in this pose, with a moon behind her and 3 animals below, one above. Just had to figure out what animals and what the hell she was holding! This is a powerful transition and I love the fact I will have this piece to remind me that I handle these painful life changes with such grace and strength. There were moments with this piece I just broke into dance, broke down into tears, stared blankly into space, felt joy and excitement, and then despair and hopelessness.. This seems to be my therapy.
