We love Tuesdays

Afternoon teas are becoming a regular staple to our week, with lovely customers who get our vibe of…grazing!

The wonderful Cheryl allowed me to take her pic whilst she and her four generation family(more on that below!) tucked into their specially designed celebration tea!

The highlights for them…

🍰 Auntie Kitty’s mini scones, delish, freshly baked and just enough so you can enjoy the rest of the layers of goodies!

💕 Highlight for us, meeting Cheryl’s 90 year old Nan!
Who actually used to work in the cafe 60 years ago when it was a tobacconist and fondly remembered the family who ran the jewellery store next door! 💕

I love that I get to be part of this place, which is such a hub for so many generations of people, and obviously thrilled when they love my bakes!

Auntie Kittys Tea Room will be back next week, until then opening hours for the rest of the week as follows:

Weds 9.30 - 4.30
Thurs 9.30 - 2
Fri 9.30 - 4.30

Weekend is closed for private hire

Half term, events photos!

my second home!🏡 The New Look Auntie Kitty Rainbow Raves, half term family rave. Lots of colour, lots of sparkling lights, lots of energy. Tested out the new stage area in the cafe and no limbs were lost! Big things coming soon!!!

and for hopefully the 1st of many! Crafty parties!🎉 We painted and made seed bombs from recycled paper and it was fantastic fun! One unfortunate aspect was selling out very quickly but quite poor attendance from some of those who had booked. So we will be reviewing how future ticketed events are organised to ensure these activities aren’t wasted that they are as well attended as possible and no one misses out. Stay tuned!

for balloon 🎈workshop fun, grown ups and kids alike loved these balloon workshops and as ever, the finale icecream making was accompanied by SILENCE as the kids gobbled up their creations!!! If you’ve not been to Hitchin for one of their icecream making parties you might want to secure yourself an invitation!

All in all, THREE new ideas tested out this week, feedback has been so positive and encouraging and we are almost at the end of Feb…So have lots of great ideas planned for March and April! Expect some exciting news in the next week!!
