I was so happy to receive these photos of Christian and Andrew's wedding from last June. I worked with them over six months to create a unique ceremony with readings from their close family, carefully crafted personal vows and their dog Otto bringing in the rings. It was the hottest day of the year but the trees provided a calm sanctuary with a gentle breeze. Such a joy to witness them sharing their vows and their love for one another with their families.

This time last year I was getting ready to go to the woods in the morning to do a personal ceremony of welcoming a new phase of life for a lady, using the summer solstice as a gateway to welcome a new way of being and phase of life. We created a mandala together as part of the ceremony using flowers we had collected and natural materials collected from nature. Here are some photos of nature inspired altars I have created or from ceremonies and places I have been part of. Making an altar for ceremony is a therapeutic process which brings you into connection and begins the process of getting ready for ceremony. I love to change my personal altar at home to reflect the season, the wheel of the year and nature and I love to create altars with other as part of ceremony. Happy solstice to all. With the equinox this weekend, light and dark balance for just a moment and from this point forwards we will have more light every day than darkness. For me this is a time of hope. I took the video in my garden last year. I love how the bees are flying around. Planting for bees makes me happy and makes my garden feel so alive. My favourite flowers at a wedding are those that reflect place and season, bringing magic to the ceremony. This time two years ago, on the sunrise of my birthday I created my own ceremony with my beautiful friend @thedrumwoman. To let go of what I needed to and to help me find my voice. It was powerful from the start with the magical full moon just setting in the west and the fiery phoenix accompanying me in the sunrise. We walked to the top of the hill in my local town, called the elements, woke the spirits of the place. I wrote on stones to release my fears and used the drum to feel my voice and feel into what I needed to create in my life. A powerful and magical experience which has helped bring me into my life today. Ceremony can be a powerful way to help us let go and to move us forward in our lives at any moment and we can create our own ceremony to move us in our lives.
