We have finally started to recover After a great weekend away at Neuroheadz Festival 2023 - STATE OF MIND / Pythius / TRCD + more so we wanted to take the time to thank Neuroheadz for getting us involved and give them the props they deserve on such an amazing show from start to finish. A lot of hard work time and effort went into this weekend and it so good to see the resurgence of Neurofunk in the UK. Thank you for an amazing experience and we look forward to partying with you again soon.

With tomorrow being release day we figured you'd enjoy a little premiere head over to our Soundcloud now to hear Kevala - Disjointed.

Kevala
Disjointed This track is about the separation between the self and the rest. The need for connection with others we feel and how difficult it is to access that sometimes, and the conflict that can cause inside our minds. Wanted to convey this with the sudden switch from the classic DnB pattern to 4x4 during the first drop, and including some transitions more abrupt than usual or expected. The second drop, progressive but eerie wants to show the sad calm, that numbness that can be found inside oneself when we can’t seem to access that connection with others.

[EXP011] Kevala - Disjointed / Get 06/07/23

Next up on our release schedule we welcome back Kevala with his debut 2 track single Disjointed / Get.

1. Disjointed - This track is about the separation between the self and the rest. The need for connection with others we feel and how difficult it is to access that sometimes, and the conflict that can cause inside our minds. Wanted to convey this with the sudden switch from the classic DnB pattern to 4x4 during the first drop, and including some transitions more abrupt than usual or expected. The second drop, progressive but eerie wants to show the sad calm, that numbness that can be found inside oneself when we can’t seem to access that connection with others.

2. Get - The concept behind Get is the constant search inside ourselves. Striving to better ourselves, to feel better, to feel happier, feeling this permanent satisfaction but like nothing is enough. The dirty basses in the first drop mirror how rough it can be to demand ourselves so much, while the second drop brings a sense of melancholy through the strings that take us to a hard drop, showing the state of disorder one can feel when we can’t seem to find what we’re looking for.

After more than a year and a half working on this, finally I present to you THE SAVAGE KINGDOM LP 🔥😈

Officially the first album of my career, which has been quite a challenge for me, something that seemed almost impossible 2 years ago and that to this day I still don’t believe I could have done.

Something super personal that I’ve put 100% of me into, listening to ideas on the phone while I was working to catch the fails and then after leaving work running straight to the studio to capture everything that was coming my way...

The amazing welcome The Temple EP had gave me the strength I needed to keep making music, it was a real madness to see how the songs sounded at some of the best events and were punched by great artists all over the world... That’s why a while later I decided to make this album and release it on .x.p.e.d.i.t.e , the label that trusted me from the start and gave me the opportunity to release my first EP.

I have to thank each and every one of you who has gone through the process of this album, even my life, because without you I wouldn’t have been able to do this and be who I am today for real... 🙏🏻❤️

Its Friday and we've got the feeling rolling us into the weekend is none other than head honcho X /\ Ξ T I S providing us with those signature THICK basslines heavyweight drums and an ominous melody 'Hit N Run' is now available for free now over on our SoundCloud.

XAETIS -
'Hit N Run' is a project I had a lot of fun creating. The inspiration came from a trip to Manchester where I went to a hit and run event with some friends. Funnily enough there wasn't really much neuro that night but the name hit and run stuck with me and I kind of rolled with it. The track has this sort of forward progression that's constantly bringing you to the next phase of the chase. That evolution and outrageous pace with some big drums really signifies a sort of time sensitive situation where there's been a hit and run and you're in the driver seat of the getaway car going as fast as you can to flee the scene.

Pulling no punches we are blasted off straight into hyper speed withstanding high paced energy throughout. ‘Activate’ is definitely one to get the dance floor moving.

Venshü - 'Activate is one of the first tracks I’ve experimented with using non bass sounds as the main feature in drop I wanted to keep a hyper paced energy throughout and complimented with the vocal it gives it that old sci-fi movie style which I think works really well in Neurofunk.'

WE'RE BACK, and to make up for missing last week due to travel, its a double AOTW this week! Frannabik & Expedite Records make up my pick for this weeks 2023 Rising Stars series. They work closely together, so its a perfect feature to have this week as both sides are on a full assault for 2023, and are surely ones you absolutely need to pay attention to.
