As a special thank you from us, party organisers come for free when booking for 14 or more, please indicate in the 'notes section' of the booking page that you are the free organiser, so we can anticipate one additional person in the booking.

Enjoy a 90-minute session led by one of our axeperts, where you can learn a new skill and have an absolute blast, starting at just £17.50 per person.

Our Tamworth location can host 20 guests (10 per lane), and booking for 14 or more will ensure you will have the venue to yourselves. Our Nuneaton location can host up to 30 guests, and booking for 21 or more will ensure that you have the venue to yourselves.

November and December are always busy and fill up fast, so don’t delay, secure your session via the website.

NEW ROOKIES SEASON STARTING SOON!!

Rookie leagues are an ideal entry point for those looking to start playing the sport, as they are designed for newcomers or those who have participated in only a few leagues and have averages still under 50. These are official sanctioned IATF leagues, with points contributing to your opportunity to compete in Toronto at the International Axe Throwing Championships.

There are plenty of people available to offer support, share hints and tips, and provide plenty of laughter (and it's highly likely that you'll make lifelong friends).

Our inaugural Nuneaton Rookies league kicks off 1st October and we already have 7 brand new faces joining the sport, so if you fancy a new hobby and hanging out with the best community around, come and join us.

You also get exclusive access to the axe scores, where you can track your progress within leagues and your global standings... it's so cool!

Additionally, our members receive discounts on practice sessions.

Participants must complete one public session to grasp the basics. A season spans seven weeks, followed by playoffs in the eighth week. It's permissible to miss up to two weeks during the season.

There are only 114 days until Christmas 😳

We have started getting bookings and enquiries regarding Christmas parties and every year we prove popular with group bookings as a start point for your celebrations.

We are offering party organisers a special Xmas discount this year.
You're the one organising everyone and we know it can be stressful when your doing it for a large group of people. So if your organising 15 or more people, you come for free as a special gift and thank you from us.
So when you book 15+, make a note in the 'notes section' on the booking page to let us know your the free organiser and we then know we can expect 1 extra on the booking.

90 minute instructor led sessions, learning a new skill and having an absolute blast, from £17.50pp.

Our Tamworth venue holds 20 people (10 per lane) and booking 15+ will secure the venue to yourselves.
Our Nuneaton venue currently holds 30 people and if you book 22+ you will secure the venue to yourselves.

Sunday we held our first marathon at our venue and this fella finally got his Premier 81.
has been so close to that Prem 81 for a long time now and Sunday was his day!

Our Nuneaton venue is now IATF official - whoop whoop, so we can go ahead and hold sanctioned leagues.
So we're diving straight in with a Big Axe league, of course!!
This league will run Sunday Mornings from 10am.
It will be a 20 match league .... make sure you secure your spot online because we expect this to fill up quickly.

We will be looking at holding our first Rookies league, which is perfect those starting out in the sport, in a few weeks. So if your thinking of getting into this amazing sport, with the best community, as long as you've completed 1 public session, keep your eyes peeled for details and to sign up.

As usual to help you guys, you have the option to pay weekly, you can secure your spot by paying £28 online and then pay £15 weekly.

We are now closed for the weekend but will be back for Sunday league.

Some of the axe fam are having a rare weekend away together, which will involve cars, music and maybe a few drinks …. And not an axe in sight.

Coggy will be staying behind to work on Nuneaton and will be flitting between the 2 sites, if there is anything to be dealt with urgently.

What a weekend we had at Lumberjaxs Tamworth.
Saturday was a busy one and then Sunday, Coggy left the LJs Nuneaton build to do some coaching with throwers from another axe house whilst Kitty went down to to support them on their first ever marathon league.

It was a great (& hot 🥵) day, Viper & Tripod did an amazing job and everyone was looked after and had great fun.

Congratulations to .axe on ANOTHER win 🏆 … he really is the marathon king in the UK!!

A shout out to Kenny who came 4th and Pudding who came 5th, both of them have only been throwing around 6 months, so a huge welldone guys, we’re super proud!!

ARE YOU READY TO TAKE YOUR THROWING TO THE NEXT LEVEL?

Sign-ups are now open for our upcoming Rookie League starting on the 29th of July, 2024. This IATF-sanctioned league is ideal for beginners, offering coaching and support. Additionally, many of our experienced throwers will be available to provide guidance and encouragement.
It's a fantastic way to meet new friends, and whether you're looking to throw for fun as a new hobby or aim to compete with us in Canada, it's the ideal starting point.

You'll be competing alongside other newcomers and those who haven't yet progressed to our other leagues. Once your average reaches 50, or you score an 81 (the highest score), you will then advance to our other leagues.

📣ANNOUNCEMENT📣

Here it is .........
We are excited to announce that we are opening our second venue in Nuneaton.

Our community at Lumberjaxs Tamworth has grown so much that we can no longer accommodate all our throwers or host enough leagues to satisfy everyone's enthusiasm for the sport. It's time to expand. The axe-throwing community in the UK, especially in the Midlands, has seen incredible growth in the last 12 months, with talented throwers emerging nationwide. Many throwers from the Midlands and the south of the UK travel to us for the sport, and this burgeoning talent needs to be nurtured.

Our Nuneaton venue will feature three lanes on the ground floor with a spectator area. Additionally, we have a mezzanine level with another lane available for seasoned throwers to hire for practice, along with a viewing area overlooking the lanes downstairs.

No confirmed date yet, so Like & Follow us for updates ...

As always, we want to thank all our customers and all our league members for their continued support, without you guys, we wouldn't exist!

What a week it’s been at Lumberjaxs!

Last Monday was week 1 of Rookies and what a great bunch they are!

Tuesday was Women’s Prem play offs and Claudia Ansel ‘Huntress’ took the win (again)🥇the girl is on fire 🔥 with Jo Toon ‘Popeye’ in 2nd 🥈 and Alex Kitty Hugginson ‘Kitty’ in 3rd 🥉 place.

Wednesday saw Nathan ‘Anubis’ get his 81 in Wang it and in Thursday Standard, we saw Tim Moreton ‘Kayos’, Clo Marie Retallic ‘Rayne’ & Kitty (she’s been chasing that 81 for 3 years) get their 81s.

Monday was our annual IATC shakedown Prem marathon where Danny Whitehouse ‘Punisher’ (he had his number 1 fan, Boing by his side) took the win 🥇 with Leon Coggy Cogbill ‘Coggy’ coming 2nd 🥈 and Nathan Pugh ‘Wolverine’ taking 3rd 🥉. Congrats to Ollie Fairbrother ‘Kenny’ on his 2nd Premier 81 and an awesome 3 Premier 81s from Connor Hugginson ‘Cman’ (and the loss of a 81 coin challenge 😁).

A little shout to Kyle Hall ‘NightWing’ who won Saturday’s standard marathon at Axecape-Coalville and came very close to his prem 81 in Mondays marathon.

Great throwing with some great people!

Our next Rookie league starts on 13/5/24 and this league is a perfect starting platform for those wanting to get into the sport of axe throwing. Our Rookie league is especially for those starting out in the sport or those with lower averages who need a little extra coaching before moving onto one of our other leagues (we host 5 different leagues a week).

Some of Europe's top throwers started their career's at Lumberjaxs and you could be the next one .... or just come for the fun and to make new friends.

Our Rookie league runs on Monday evenings for 7 weeks, with play offs in week 8.

🏆CONGRATULATIONS🏆

We held off posting this until everyone's places were confirmed.

First, a huge congratulations to the top 4 qualifiers who scored the highest in our Round 1 qualifiers. Both Coops and NightWing will be competing in Round 2 of the The International Axe Throwing Championships 2024 in Toronto.
Unfortunately Checkmate wont be attending this year, so that seat has trickled down to Kitty who will be competing this year instead.
Huntress wont be attending this year either, however she will be 18 by IATC 2025 and will be coming with us next year. So Huntress' seat has trickled down to Niffler.

A huge well-done to all 12 of our throwers who took part in Round 1 and to all 46 throwers who qualified for round 1.

We're so pleased that this year we have 2 ladies competing in Round 2 but sad that Huntress cant come but we know that she will be a force to be reckoned with next year :-)

This week is World Autism Acceptance week.
We have several Neurodivergent throwers, here's what one of our Neurodivergent throwers said about axe throwing at Lumberjaxs and being part of our leagues.

"I love axe throwing because of the community.
Lumberjaxs is like a second home to me and everyone is so welcoming, accepting and allow me to just be me.
I often get overwhelmed, especially if I'm not doing well, but everyone lifts me up and encourages me to do better. Axe throwing has helped me learn to slow down, take a breath and persevere. Most places I go to, I feel a sensory overload or incredibly anxious, but not at Lumberjaxs, I love it there!"

Well don't worry, we've got you covered!!

Come and experience the thrill of axe throwing at Lumberjaxs, the Midlands only multi award winning and IATF affiliated axe throwing venue.

We don't believe in just handing you the axe and leaving you to it (its not much fun just picking an axe up off the floor for 90 minutes), we have professional coaches who stay with you for the entire 90 minutes, to help you sink those bullseyes and host fun and games with you.

Social throws from £17.50pp and all bookings are made through our website.

Please be aware that VAT will be added from 1/4/24, so get booked in before then.

A huge congratulations to all Lumberjaxs throwers, old & new who have qualified for Round 1 of the International Axe Throwing Championships.
We're so pleased that a huge 46 throwers have qualified through the various leagues we hold each week.
Round 1 is the first step towards the championships held in Toronto every year and we will be holding Round 1 over the weekend of 22-24 March.

A special shout out to the 3 throwers who qualified through the tournament circuit and already have a place in round 2 of the IATC, especially Cman who is Kitty's step son (proud step momma moment) and she's especially proud of his progress within the sport globally, since starting as a coach with us just a few years ago.

Please join us in celebrating the achievements of these throwers .... whoop whoop!!

Our latest Rookie league started on Monday, with lots of new faces joining the sport.
We also had some of our ‘old’ Rookies down to support, coach and score.
Rookie league is an ideal starting point for those wanting to join the sport. It’s a relaxed and fun environment with plenty of people on hand to support and coach.

Congratulations to Kettle who got a 27 in his first ever match 🤯 and Gravity, who got a 27 in his 3rd ever match. Once again, so much talent coming into the sport.

We look forward to seeing how you all progress (and whether you can beat Kenny’s 81 in his 4th week 😆).

Monday night saw the play offs of our first Rookie league of 2024.
Kenny 🥇 took the win but after he got an 81 in his 4th week, we would have been shocked if he hadn’t. However, Kayos 🥈 made him work for the win with plenty of big axe during the finals.
It was the first league for both of them, however it’s also their last Rookie league due to their averages being too high now. So welldone to you both and we’re excited to see what the future holds for you both👏🏻👏🏻
Congratulations to Vice 🥉, who has done a few Rookies leagues now but absolutely pulled it out of the bag during playoffs and finished 3rd. It’s a joy to watch you progressing and seeing you improve.
Congratulations to everyone and we look forward to seeing how you progress in the next Rookies league.
