Mickey in the house!

This party display had most of the clubhouse on it, with Mickey, Minnie, Goofy and a Donald (but not the one that's been in the news 😆)

This birthday girl was off to Go Ape with her friends, and she loves all kinds of animals 🐒🐦🦎

So we've got her on a rope slide, surrounded by flamingos, monkeys, elephants and even a parrot!

Tabletop displays are my smaller size, but we can still squeeze lots on them! Step forward Paw patrol, princess, unicorns & a mermaid! 😆

These are about 70cm tall and approximately the same width (if I don't bolt more to the sides 😆), so ideal to go on a table full of presents or birthday food!

It's been a week of jungle themed displays - I've got some catching up to do to post all the photos!

Fun fact... The rainbow on top of this display is a callback to a rainbow on a first birthday display I made for their elder sibling over 3 years ago! (in the pics below)

This was the Mum's idea - isn't it great? One of the many lovely things about making displays for a family's birthdays each year! 😊

Wild animal / jungle themes are really popular right now! This makes me very happy indeed 😁

This is without doubt the busiest time of year for party booking as people get organised for the year ahead. I've got dates booked up to Christmas 2025, so if you're considering some balloon modelling at your party, I'd really recommend sending me a quick message or email when you can ( [email protected] ).

As many of you know, I have a muggle job alongside Mr Pop's balloons. So I usually only take 1 or 2 party bookings on a Saturday or a Sunday - or Mr Pop will fizzle out! That just means I get fully booked quicker :-)

Here's a quick list of weekend dates where I'm available in the next couple of months:

* 8th and 9th Feb

Free displays!? Tell me more...

This is the sort of thing I bring along if you book me to make balloon animals at a birthday party. It's a little freebie display - because it's nice to turn up with a gift and gives the birthday child a pretty cool momento afterwards!

You tell me a few of their favourite things, and that's what I'll make. In this case it's Pokemon and Man City's Erling Haaland 😁

Where'd 2024 go!?

It's customary this time of year to share heartwarming images celebrating cherished moments from 2024. Instead you get this... Sorry / not sorry 🤣

2024 has been a blast, and nothing says that more than statistics, right? 😆 Here's some of the things I couldn't have done without your support this year...

* Mr Pop's been to over 100 events this year - my record by quite some margin! This includes birthday parties, weddings, staff & corporate parties, village fetes, care home entertainment and charity events.

* At Pop HQ I made over 60 bespoke displays and sets of party gifts. These are things like sets of candy cups and bags of balloon animals for party favours, so would be many hundreds of creations if we counted them individually!

* I've travelled over 3,000 miles this year, going as far as London, Oxford, Weymouth and Wales. Big thanks to Mrs Pop for letting me borrow her Wild Places van so often. 🩷

* I said I'd do 1 charity event for free each month, and ended up doing 16 over the year. 😁 This is a really important bit of Mr Pop's balloons for me, and I wouldn't be able to do it without your custom and support keeping me in balloons - thank you 🙏

Thanks for all your support during 2024, and all your bonkers ideas for things to make! Bring it on for 2025! 😁

If you've not seen 'Five Nights at Freddy's', can I just say.... this display is supposed to look this hideous! 😂🤣

Five Nights at Freddy's (or FNAF!) is a horror game for the under 10s where you walk round in the dark bumping into characters like these. A bit like a student nightclub in the late 90s then 😆

They made a FNAF movie this year, and now Freddy Fazbear has reached immortality on his own balloon display!

Back to flowers and Christmas stuff very soon!

Well that weekend went quickly!

At risk of sounding like a Craig David song...

I was at the Christmas lights switch on at Canford Heath on Friday... At a community Christmas fair in Oxford on Saturday.... And at the lovely Elf Dash event for University Hospitals Dorset NHS Charity at Branksome Dene beach on Sunday. (Do follow their page - they run the most fantastic events the whole family can get involved in!).

On Monday I did a stock check and ordered more balloons. Phew! 😄

If you were born in the 80s! 😎

This 1980s themed display came with sunset sunglasses, Doc & Marty from back to the future, a palm tree and neon and black & white decorations! It was for some very special regular customers, and got so wide I had to borrow Mrs Pop's van to deliver it 😆
