Some venues aren’t just beautiful - they’re built for moments that unfold over time!

Rosebery Steading reminded us of that all over again during their Wedding Planners Experience with the incredible team and Platter & Pop.

Named rooms waiting for us, cocktails on arrival, creative challenges, a delicious dinner in the Threshing Barn, wine pairings, and festive cocktails we mixed ourselves - it was an experience, not just an event!

And it took us right back to Lia & Konain’s celebration here - a two-day wedding that moved from a vibrant Mehndi on Friday to an elegant wedding day on Saturday.

Everything flowed, everything felt intentional, and the venue carried every moment with ease.

✨ Swipe through a weekend of opulent joy and global connection ✨

In July, Grace & Steve brought their worlds together for a three-day celebration across Scotland’s capital from rooftop views to castle grandeur, and a wedding that effortlessly fused heart, heritage, and high-end experience.

Guests travelled from across the UK, the US and beyond - with the couple themselves being NYC-based executives who knew they wanted a celebration that felt intentional, elevated, and above all: warm and welcoming.

Thursday began with an intimate Spanish wine night at Piggs Wine Bar in Edinburgh’s Bruntsfield - exclusively hired for their closest family and friends to relax and connect over charcuterie boards and tapas.

On Friday, guests were welcomed to a stunning rooftop gathering at the National Museum of Scotland, with panoramic views of the historic skyline. Grace’s mum, Steve’s father, and the Bride herself toasted the guests as the sun set over Edinburgh Castle.

And then came Saturday… ✨
A red vintage double-decker bus carried the groomsmen in style to Dundas Castle, where the grandeur of the estate was transformed into something deeply personal.

The planning began across time zones, with our team supporting Grace & Steve from first ideas to final guest departure. Our focus? Blending extraordinary hospitality with impeccable ex*****on.

The Wedding Guru Oskar is a luxury wedding planning and wedding venue consultancy brand that launched in 2019.

Before that, I have been involved in the wedding industry since 2009 and this is my story:

November 2019 brought The Wedding Guru Oskar to the forefront to assist wedding planning couples on their exciting journey while supporting independent wedding venues with their marketing and wedding management. I now work with couples needing one-off support, on the day coordination and full wedding planning. Additionally, providing consultative support to unique wedding venues in Scotland.

In this role, I looked after all Scottish accounts for WeddingDates - an online platform for wedding venues and suppliers. During my time at WeddingDates I was responsible for supporting wedding venues in their marketing efforts to provide the easiest access to vital venue information for newly engaged couples. Many venues work with me continuously today on improving their wedding planning efforts.

This was indeed a very important year for me as on Saturday 13th January 2018, I literally and as presented in this image “tied the knot” in the presence of my family and friends. This experience allowed Oskar to learn all elements of wedding planning from the couples’ perspective, very helpful when providing practical advice to wedding planning couples.

Planning over 100 weddings each year for three luxury venues in Edinburgh. My objective was simple: provide a helpful and stress-free service every time! Overtime, my work was recognised three times by the Scottish VOWS Awards and the Scottish Hotel Awards.

Couples often mention in their feedback my personable approach, helpful advice and friendly guidance. During this time I also mentored and trained a team of nine Wedding Coordinators throughout the UK to Wedding Brand Standards and presented brand guidelines to over 50 Wedding Coordinators at an Annual Wedding Workshop supporting his Group Wedding Director - Kelly Mortimer. In this role, I was involved in new hotel openings and rebranding to a new luxury urban lifestyle hotel brand.

In this role, I looked after all things weddings for a group of four Edinburgh hotels. It was at this time that I grew my passion for wedding marketing and all things luxury before taking up my first managerial role in 2015

This is when my passion for weddings was ignited! I was given a challenge of looking after all wedding events for a major wedding venue in Edinburgh, running and delivering weddings on the day. I would have always been the main point of contact for the couple and their guests on their wedding day, acting Master of Ceremonies and trained to silver service. I would have been the person couple seen first upon their arrival on the morning of the wedding and the last one before heading to bed. This is when I developed a keen eye for detail and an excellent understanding of wedding logistics and planning.

My Vision - to be at the heart of the best weddings in the world!

My Mission - to provide a time and budget-saving wedding planning solutions for busy wedding planning couples.

Additionally, providing support and guidance to wedding venue owners or managers who want to make a success story by introducing fresh and tried wedding planning strategies.
