SURPRISE! SURPRISE! What a wonderful evening after lots of secret planning at the cute and quirky ODDFELLOWS ON THE PARK, in Cheadle. 🎊✨️

After exactly 22 years together, my good friend, Debbie, and her lovely hubby, Andy, were legally married at Stockport Register Office, at midday, last Saturday, with 8 close family and friends to celebrate, followed by a scrumptious meal at Oddfellows. ♥️

But in true bonkers style, Debbie wanted a bit more fun for their special day, so she asked me to be their Celebrant, for a surprise super personal Wedding Ceremony at 7pm,, together with another 46 of their family and friends, who all arrived undetected and were waiting to greet an unsuspecting Andy with cheers and applause and a few tears of joy. 🎉

This is what true love looks like! What a joyous and hilarious time for everyone, especially Andy, who looked a little surprised but so happy! 😁🤫

And after the yummy buffet...another surprise, with the superb Silver Service Singers, with everyone up singing and dancing, as we did The Conga through the hotel. 🎶🎙

Oh, what a night!! 🎆

The wonderful black & white theme continues in the stunning Shooting Suite at Carden Park, in the heart of the Cheshire Countryside. 🖤🤍

Surrounded by ancient woodland and a great tree planting scheme, we had a beautiful Tree Blessing to bring the outdoors inside, for the start of my lovely couple's Wedding Ceremony. Trees have the power to symbolise, inspire and express our deepest feelings of love, gratitude, protection and happiness, so the OAK, BIRCH, HAWTHORN (The Fairy Tree!) and HAZEL offered much to guide them through married life. Trees are also a family and they look after one another...such special symbolism on their Wedding Day with their gorgeous family. 🌲🌳🌲

Congratulations, Katy & Ben! And happy honeymoon! ❤️❤️

My second super black & white themed wedding at top hotel in Manchester - The Midland - at the start of September. 🖤🤍

Lots of love and laughs with my lovely couple for their Wedding Ceremony in the stunning wood pannelled Stanley Suite, which used to be an Edwardian gentlemen's reading room...how times have changed!📚

Thanks to wonderful Wedding Singer, Abby, and great guitarist, Callum, for the excellent ceremony music. 🎶🎙

And a big thank you to marvellous Megan and her team at the Midland for their warm welcome, as always! 👏

For the end of August, I had the first of 3 black & white themed weddings...classy and sophisticated...with wonderful views of the Liverpool skyline, across the countryside, from Blundells Hill Golf Club. 🖤🤍

This was a day full of fun and surprises with the Bride secretly booking the wonderful Charlie as their Wedding Singer for the ceremony...and then more music later as the Groom had secretly booked the Silver Service Singers, who gave everyone a BIG SURPRISE and had us all up doing The Conga at the end of the Wedding Reception! 🎶🎙

Loved that my couple chose the poem "I Wanna Be Yours" by John Cooper Clarke...bringing more smiles and laughter to this joyous ceremony...with a Ring Blessing, Love Shells for their Vows and a wee nip of brandy from the Loving Cup. 😁🥰

Congratulations to the lovely Mark and Rose...now my great friends, too. ❤️

Thank you to Terry and his fantastic team at Blundells Hill Golf Club...it was great to return to this stunning venue... I officiated a lovely Naming Ceremony there last year. 👏

At the start of August, it was a fairytale come true for my lovely couple, at the spectacular Peckforton Castle, in the heart of the Cheshire countryside, surrounded by ancient woodland. 🌳🌲

I love trees and dogs, so it was wonderful to also have their perfect pooch, Ralph the Bullmastiff, as their Ringbearer! 🐕💍

With their Wedding Ceremony in The Great Hall, it was super special and rather regal, as they sat on their Bride & Groom Thrones to listen to their inspiring Love Story. 👑👑

What a wonderful and joyous day! ❤️

It's been a super Summer of Weddings...so let me take you back to July for the romantic and rustic Wedding Ceremony of Katie & Jack in the Tipi at Rylands Farmhouse near Wilmslow. 😍

Great idea for a super surprise...we hid the wedding rings in a perfect little pouch in the decoration on the back of a guest's chair and the lucky lady who found them was the Ring Bearer..adding a bit more fun to the ceremony! 💍🥰

I love how my couples find me...Katie was my Estate Agent a few years ago!! 😁

Typical British Summer weather, but nothing can dampen the celebrations...and thankfully it stopped raining for the photos and confetti! 🎉

For the love of trees! 🌳🌳🌳

A landscape dotted with the iconic Cypress Tree, says Italy to me! And I was in "tree heaven" on my recent trip to Tuscany by train. 🚆 🇮🇹

I loved the "Leaning Tree of Turin" which I spotted on our 1st stopover, on our epic journey, and I was thrilled to discover fields full of rows and rows of baby trees, in the valley between Florence and Montecatini Terme, with the road flanked on either side with miles and miles of Tree Nurseries! 🌿

So many trees, all providing much needed shade from the Italian sunshine. 🌞

I love Italy and I love trees! ❤️

Come with me...and my Mum, as I take you on an epic journey, where for the last 2 weeks we have been on a Highlights of Tuscany tour, with 26 lovely fellow travellers and our wonderful tour guide, travelling with Great Rail Journeys!

We left Liverpool by train on Father's Day, which seemed so fitting with my Dad's lifelong job as a Train Driver and passion for trains! 🚂🚆

We travelled on Eurostar Plus, changing at Paris (with a coach tour of this spectacular city), then travelling through the Alps to our first overnight in Turin. Then by train again to Montecatini Terme, a beautiful spa town, near Florence, with the delightful hilltop village of Montecatini Alto.

Guided tours and days out to Florence (busy and hot, but my dream destination), Lucca (walled city), Pisa (leaning tower!), San Gimignano (lots of towers) and Siena (home of the horse race - Palio di Siena), with a couple of free days by the pool, in our luxury hotel.

We returned home via the coast and a stopover in San Raphael on the Cote d'Azur.

A night of opera and a visit to the home of Niccolo Machievelli (now a vineyard serving blue Prosecco!), together with the food, the people, the history, the culture, the weather...and of course the wine...all made this the best holiday ever, all shared with my lovely Mum.

What a wonderful Celebration of Life for Dougie...a brilliant man, friend, Dad and Grandad. ❤️

With family travelling from Scotland and Spain and lots of his ex-Army mates and all his friends from his new life in Southport (especially the ladies from Lord Street in Bloom, who read a specially written poem) there were over 100 people gathered, who dearly loved this lovely man, for a great send off, in his local pub, ending with a wee dram of rum. 🪻🌹🌺🌻🌼🌷⚘️

Thank you to his lovely daughter and granddaughter for asking me to be part of such a wonderful ceremony. And thanks to Mick and his fantastic team at The Crown for hosting such a special day. 🥃

The pitter patter of refreshing raindrops on the luscious green leaves overhead. 🌧🌿☘️🌱🍀🍃

A soggy Clover the Husky getting a little bit muddy on our very early morning playtime.🐕

Perfect way to start the day that will see me officiating a funeral for a chap who worked with wood (thank you trees!) and will end with a trip to Dibbinsdale Nature Reserve for a talk about Trees and the Law with my fellow Tree Wardens. 🌳

It's all about TREES! 🌳🌲🌴
