✨Different ways to make your guests WOW at your wedding florals.

💰Be savvy with your budget, if you’re wanting a beautiful statement piece that fills the space i.e., floral chandeliers, mantelpiece arrangements, floral columns.

🌸Think about all the smaller items you could probably do without like buttonholes, aisle flowers, bar top arrangements.

🌸How To choose flowers for your wedding?

🌼Go with how you want your overall vibe/ aesthetic to look and go with a colour scheme.

🌸Don’t get your heart set on specific flowers as there can never be an absolute guarantee that when it comes to order your flowers that they will be available.

🌼There are a lot of external factors that come in to play with flower availability, that are usually far out of anyone’s control.

🌸By not having your heart set on specific flowers you stop the chance of feeling let down if they end up not being available.

🌼If you are clear on the vibe and the colour scheme your florist will be able to use their creative juices to create your magic.

🌸We recommend using colour to help make your flowers POP!

🤷🏼‍♀️What is conditioning?

🌼You’ll hear us talk about conditions ALL the time

✨Condition is the process the flowers go through from the moment they arrive back at the stuiod to when they're ready to use in the designs, every florist is different but this is how we do it

💐We start by unwrapping the flowers from their paper or plastic wrapping.

✂️We then snip all the end off at a nice sharp angle, (the larger the surface at the more water the flowers can take in!)

🌸One by one each flower gets stripped of the leaves leaving just the top 1/3 un touched and popped in their water bucket.

🌹For those lovely fluffy looing roses that we all love, they all get reflexed BY HAND.

🌸Can you reuse your ceremony flowers for the reception?

🌸YES! This is a great way to make the most of your money! But you must reuse whole items.

🌸We will not pick apart designs to reuse specific flowers between designs. It must be the whole design that gets reused!

🌸Lets say you have lovely aisle flowers, they could get reused as table centres. Or your luscious columns from the ceremony could get put at the entrance of your reception or even on the dance floor!

🙋🏼‍♀️Who’s this chick?

🌸I thought I would take the time to properly introduce myself, I'm Alex the CEO, Creative Director, Chief Marketing Director and all the other hats that make The Wild Daisy Company!

🇺🇸I was born and raised in Jupiter, FL and spent my childhood on the beach. I moved to the UK with my wonderful mother at 16, but in 2017 I took the big leap and moved out to Australia ( which is where my heart will stay forever) and finally came back to the UK in 2019.

📚In 2021 I decided I wanted to be a florist so I went back to college and got a qualification in Floristry! I then spent a summer doing work experience with the lovely before jumping into freelance work! I was lucky enough to work with and learn from the fab Kerry and Ellie before properly launching The Wild Daisy Co. in November.

🌼I am die hard for wild romantic garden style florals with a pop of colour! I would say my favourite flowers are Icelandic Poppies, but there are a lot of other contenders!

🌸A lot of people thing all florists do is make beautiful flowers.

💬Handling the flowers is actually about 5% of the actual job!

💻We spend countless hours behind a computer coming up with quotes, creating mood boards, creating the designs, sifting through the wholesaler to find the best flowers.

🧑🏼‍🌾Once the flowers arrive with us we then have to condition them and only then can we start creating the magic you see!

💛So let’s not question the cost of labour, we are creating magic, and our time is worth it!
