Thursday 22nd June at Exmouth Community College (Green Close) at 7.30pm.
This launch event is open to all those interested in taking part in this concert, so make sure you come along to hear all the fabulous songs, hear the plans from the production team and get all the info on auditions.

𝘾𝘼𝙉 𝙔𝙊𝙐 𝙃𝙀𝙇𝙋 𝙐𝙎?

It’s been a difficult ‘comeback’ after Covid with 2 years of not being able to perform and EMCO (Exmouth Musical Theatre Company) could really use your support please.

We are currently performing AVENUE Q but it’s fair to say, ticket sales are at their lowest for many years. We are Exmouth’s oldest amateur musical theatre company and would hate to not be able to perform for many years to come.

This is not a traditional musical by any means, and that could be putting some of you off. So…

𝙒𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙞𝙨 𝘼𝙑𝙀𝙉𝙐𝙀 𝙌?

In short, it’s a parody – a bit of a send up, the grown-up version of Sesame Street. It’s a musical comedy that’s part-flesh and part-felt, featuring puppets and human actors – and the human actors have spent hours and hours learning how to bring the puppets to life.

𝙒𝙝𝙖𝙩’𝙨 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙥𝙡𝙤𝙩?

The laugh-out-loud musical tells the timeless story of a recent college graduate named Princeton who moves into a shabby New York apartment all the way out on Avenue Q. He soon discovers that although the residents seem nice, it's clear that this is not your ordinary neighbourhood. Together, Princeton and his new-found friends struggle to find jobs, dates, and their ever-elusive purpose in life.

𝙒𝙝𝙤 𝙞𝙨 𝘼𝙫𝙚𝙣𝙪𝙚 𝙌 𝙖𝙥𝙥𝙧𝙤𝙥𝙧𝙞𝙖𝙩𝙚 𝙛𝙤𝙧?

There’s no doubt about it, Adults do love Ave Q, but it’s definitely not a kids show. It addresses issues like, s*x and drinking and the official is that it’s unsuitable for Under 12’s. However, if you brought your teenagers along, they’d probably think you were really cool!

Although the show addresses humorous adult issues, it is similar to a beloved children's show; a place where puppets are friends, Monsters are good and life lessons are learned.

This musical has won a whole bunch of awards, and even if you’re not sure it’s your thing, please do come along if you can.

Whatever the show, the cast always put on a fabulous performance – we are now offering 2-4-1 tickets for the remainder of our run. We have had fabulous reviews and feedback so far from our audience members! Even if you are unable to come please help us just by sharing this post.

Princeton is a 22 year old college graduate, with a B.A. in English searching for his purpose in life. Princeton is a wide-eyed, newcomer to the avenue, who is open to taking on life's challenges, and always taking them on head first.
