Your hosts welcome you to Shoot Slash Slay: Chapter One. We gather at Hinwick Hall to experience the elegance of cosplay through the photographers lens. The doors are open, won't you come on in?

While we're also getting excited for Chapter One, we haven't forgotten about our upcoming studio days! Bodyline studios is a photography studio in Long Eaton and has a multitude of different sets that we can use, including a small rain set! Grab your tickets now, especially if you have a wide variety of cosplay styles you want to shoot, we can almost certainly create something amazing! Don't forget, it's a full day in the studio, so plenty of time to enjoy yourself too! Tankspace is a water-centric studio, equipped with a massive glass walled tank, you can fully submerge and get some incredibly ethereal floating shots. Big dresses and layered cosplays really shine here! We also have the rain room where we can get those super moody and brooding images, let's see your best pouts! Cosplayers can book a 2 hour slot which you will share with up to 4 other cosplayers across both the tank and the rain room, this allows for as much flexibility as possible while still giving plenty of time to get the epic shots you are after. We currently have cosplayers spaces available for both, with the potential to open up photographer spaces too. We've tried to make these tickets prices as low as possible for you in order to cover the studio hire cost, so this is probably as cheap as you will find it! Chapter One - Are you prepared?

With Chapter One creeping ever closer, we wanted to make sure that you're all prepared! Don't forget that all the information and some useful links can be found on our website - www.shootslashslay.me/chapter-one What are your cosplans? We'd like to share your cosplans, a cosplans template is available on the website, don't forget to tag us and we'll share it in our stories! We'd also like you to submit your cosplans for display on the day, this will hopefully encourage more people to network and seek you out! Click the "Submissions" button on the Chapter One section of our website for more information Photographers We'd love to share your work on the day, you can submit up to 5 of your favourite images and we'll display them with your credits throughout the day. We're hoping that this will enhance networking for you and the cosplayers! Click on the "Submissions" button on the Chapter One section of our website for more information You can also browse our Chapter One story highlights on Instagram to see what cosplans have already been shared, this may help you plan your shoots! Want to make arrangements? We have a facebook group set up for Chapter One, if you aren't already part of it, click on the link on the Chapter One section of the website to request access. You can use this group to arrange lift sharing, discuss accomodation, and make shooting arrangements! What not to bring There are not many power supplies in the building, so please don't bring any mains powered photography equipment. Likewise we are unable to allow smoke or fog within the building, however this is fine on the grounds. We can't wait to see you there!

The cosplay showcase video from @shootslashslay The Beginning. This video was so much fun to film, as I tried to do the same movements for each person, including nearly falling down both flights of stairs each time! This was an attempt to capture all the cosplays and cosplayers at the first event, however I think there may be one or two that I managed to miss.
