Our apologies for having to cancel all classes and private lessons over the weekend. Monday's class is also cancelled but the good news is our Rowheath Social evening will run as usual. Laura is stepping in to cover for me so please come along and support the evening 8pm - 10pm if you are able.

October is the month of Halloween! We will be providing a halloween themed dance on Monday 28th 8PM - 10PM. Dig out your hats masks and broomsticks and fly on down to Rowheath Pavilion. If you haven't got anything spooky in your cupboard, the shops are stocking a selection of Halloween items

This has come around quickly; our Marilyn is (weather depending) completing a skydive tomorrow in aid of Headway, a charity who support people in B'ham and Solihull who's lives have been affected by brain injury.
Thank you to those who have already sponsored Marilyn, I believe she has raised an astonishing £600 so far, for this very worthy cause.

For those of you who have been concerned for our patient this week, I can assure you Howard is feeling much better, he's home and I spoke to him on Wednesday. He's planning to come along next Monday to see us 🙂👍 but he's not planning a repeat of last week.

REMEMBER - Classes resume on Sunday 15th September, not long now 😀

Barbara will be running our social evening NEXT MONDAY, 29th July and funds raised from the door will be donated to the Prostate Cancer charity she actively supports.

Our raffle last night was in aid of 2 charities:

Prostate cancer and Headway. We raised £140 which will be split evenly between both charities.

Marilyn Fairman (from Thursday 7pm class and Monday nights) is planning to do a skydive in September to raise money for Headway. If anyone would like to donate to this worthwhile cause please contact us for further details, if you haven't already seen the details on our noticeboard.

Thank you to all who braved the rain to support our Summer Ball.

Congratulations to our dancers who collected their well deserved awards 🥇🥈🥉🏆

It was indeed a memorable night 😆
Next time I will try not to get myself locked in the garage home alone with no contact to the outside world for 2 hours when I'm supposed to be at the venue setting up for the event 😟
However, there was no reason for concern; the night started on time, with special thanks to Laura, Barbara, Brian, John Ridley, Marilyn and John and my knight in shining armour, James, who came home to rescue me 🦸 The school cannot put special nights on without willing helpers who roll up their sleeves and get stuck in. THANK YOU!!

Classes and private lessons are on as usual today. It's our last Sunday until 15th September. If you know anyone who would like to learn to dance, please give them our details and encourage them to come along and give it a try. Taking that first step is always the hardest thing to do! There are flyers with all the details of the new class available for you on our table, to hand out to your friends and family or if you could put an advert up somewhere for us (maybe on your work noticeboard) that would be strictly fabulous 😄

We're hoping to add a little summer sparkle to Rowheath tomorrow evening for our annual Summer Ball. We're looking forward to presenting our awards to our pupils who took their exams in May.

Please bring some cash with you for our raffle, we will be donating our raffle proceeds between Marilyn's sponsored skydive for her charity, HEADWAY and Barbara's charity, PROSTATE CANCER. Please help us support both of these special charities.

As usual, feel free to bring your own nibbles for your tables, but not drinks because the bar will be open 🍺🍷🥃

Just in case you're not aware of what's happening on Thursday! Weoley Village Hall will be used as a polling station. There will be NO CLASSES this Thursday 😭
You could dance in your kitchens, lounges, on your patio or in the supermarket car park, but not at Weoley this week, sorry folks. See you next Thursday for our last lesson of the season
